About this listen
Lyle had a twin sister Hannah who had gone off to join the military and his parents had moved away. So he had the family home to himself.
As for Melissa “Missy” Bowman, after two years of uneventful college education, she had found a niche in the business of serving as a disc jockey at weddings and other events. Her quality of banter to keep the music going, combined with her beauty and long dark wavy hair made her very popular and in demand for all types of events.
Missy even got invited for appearances on different television and cable programs, and at the age of twenty-three was a well-known and prospering celebrity. But at the class reunion back at Milton Valley, she had too much to drink and blurted out her involvement in a poorly thought out prank when she was eighteen that had stirred up the community.
She left for college today after the prank, thinking that the identity of the culprits had gone undetected as she left behind any contact with where she had grown up. But it turns out that the prank almost had a tragic ending, and her co-conspirator, none other than Lyle’s sister Hannah, had been caught and taken all the blame for what happened.
And age 18 or not, Hannah found herself across her father’s knees for a lengthy dose of a paddle that had never been used before. And now, the day after the reunion, Missy has no one but Lyle to turn to in her embarrassment. She goes to Lyle’s home to talk to him and have a place to hide out for the moment.
But how would she come to terms with such a matter of unfinished business?
