About this listen
So you were out driving in your car the other day listening to the radio when a song from one of your favorite 1980s bands came on. You started singing along, and you found yourself wondering what happened to them. I loved that band. Well, look no further!
Did you know there were probably close to 170 hair/glam/heavy metal bands in the 1980s and early 1990s? A few of these bands even became super groups, but many just faded into obscurity, or so you thought.
In this small guide, you'll find information about many of your favorite bands. Such things as how they started. Where are they now? Are they still playing, or even recording? You may be surprised by what you hear.
What's included in this band guide:
- Band Images
- Band History
- Band Members
- Band Albums
- Band Music Bonus
This audiobook is not meant to be a band biography; it's a condensed guide of fun facts and information. If you are curious about what happened to that band you heard on the radio the other day, then download this audiobook!

So fun!
"Hey, Where's My Hairspray" is a fun trip down memory lane! If you're into hair metal bands now or back in the day, this is a great audiobook to listen to. The bands are listed in alphabetical order so you can click around or just listen straight through. Love how they start with a audio clip of one of that band's songs. The author takes you from their origins to their hits. Fashion and culture of the 80s are also included. Bon Jovi and Def Leopard are still favorites for me today. Enjoyed this and if you've scrolled enough to see this, you will too!

Back to the 80's
This book took me back to my high school days, which was such a fun time for music! This book is full of facts that brought back so many memories, I felt like I was reliving my teenage years. I loved hearing all the stories behind all the great bands and artists especially where they are now. It covers some of the biggest names and even a few bands I had completely forgotten about. The music trivia was really fun. I love the title because, it is spot on. Back then you could never have enough Hairspray. I absolutely enjoyed this from start to finish, such a fun listen!

Took Me Right Back to the Glory Days
I grew up blasting hair metal, so flipping through this book felt like reliving my teenage years. What I loved most is how it covers some of the big names and a bunch of bands I totally forgot about. It’s part nostalgia trip, part music trivia fun. The tone is casual, like talking to a fellow fan who really knows their stuff. I found myself looking up old tracks and discovering a few new ones I missed back then. If you lived through the ‘80s metal scene—or wish you had—this is a fun, solid read to have on your shelf.

All you need to know about hair metal!
This book is basically the first half of an 80s metal encyclopedia, featuring bands that start with the letters A-M. You can learn about any of the bands you missed, complete with a music sample, or skip to the chapters on your favorites for details and a refresher. I opted to listen to them all. Most of the bands I'd never heard of. The narrator's up-tempo, nerdy delivery is perfect for the book, bringing a lively energy that keeps the reader engaged. The chapters are short and packed with album and song facts as well as chart performance data. The end of each chapter provides the complete roster for the band's entire career.

Nostalgic and Fun!
This was really fun. 80s hair metal! I have to admit there may have been a couple I didn't know because I was also into pop but still....80s were the best! I love the band histories and trivia. What happened to all those big hair groups? Take a listen and you'll find out. So interesting! Great narration too! Very entertaining and nice break from today's crap I mean music :-).
