About this listen

Written in the form of letters from an experienced witch to her two apprentices, solitary witchcraft is offered, not as a substitute for coven worship, but as a fulfilling lifestyle in its own right. Rae Beth explains the importance of the Goddess and her consort, the Horned God, as sources of spiritual strength and worship. The author extols the feminine principles of healing and regeneration as well as attacking greed and self-interest, which jeopardize the planet's very future. Rae Beth provides spells for all the key festivals of the witch's calendar, describes and outlines the Pagan approach to finding a partner. Her lyrical letters bring the listener towards a deeper understanding of the solitary witch's lifestyle and beliefs.

The book itself is still great to get an understanding or witchcraft for a baby witch.
I was expecting a more pagan approach and not something so centered in Wicca. Primarily because of thr restrictive nature of practices in Wicca. I was hoping for a more broad-spectrum book on hedge riding, spirit work, etc.

still based in Wicca

the audiobook reader mispronounced important words and this made it through production. She pronounced the word Celtic like the sports team which is NOT how you pronounce it when refering to the people or the languages. there were other issues with the reading but that was the straw that broke the camels back for me.

the reader mispronounced Celtic...

There wasn’t enough solid information to warrant listening to slanted perception after Sappho-centric allusion wherein men exist only to plant a seed and die away or play but a ‘shadowy’ role in the proceedings. The author is blatantly homophobic. It was kinda like: ‘we don’t want to offend you if you buy my book but this isn’t about you as you are not a part of the natural world’ Sorry, LGBTQIA day is the third Thursday of the month.!
By the way, the narrator sounded like some drill Sargent lady who barked out the book and made by me feel uncomfortable listening to how utter useless the male is in this scenario. No stars. Hated it all!

Green witchy bigotry?

The content is so-so. It might be right for some but not me. I had a really hard time listening to this woman read. It made my brain itch.

Sorry I bought this
