About this listen
Continue the epic journey!
Aboard a small ship of refugees, Wendwynn Forella is forced to accept that her world has been destroyed by none other than her own father. While she feels her story is coming to a tragic end, in truth it is just beginning. She must navigate a new world of corruption, greed, betrayal, new enemies and allies, and the hope for a better future that ties it all together.
Taking place before the events of Tides of Gafforah, Hearthslayer tells the tale of Wen’s rise to power and the choices that shaped an era.
Hearthslayer is Sena Andeo’s third novel, preceded by Eulogy: A Tale of Terrial and Tides of Gafforah. She writes all things fiction and her fantasy prologue The Accidental: Crescendo of Chaos was an international writing contest finalist. Her works are closely critiqued by her cat and editor, Duchess, who is often unimpressed. When not writing, she works at a humanitarian organization and enjoys live concerts, playing piano, designing tattoos, video games with pretty scenery, and daydreaming that often turns into world building.

Thrilling Fantasy
I enjoyed book 2 of the "Blood of the Gods" duology more than the first one. This story related the tale of Wren's rise to power and how her reign began. The worldbuilding was complicated, and I liked the appearance of magic within the tale. I liked the character of Wren and her determination to do all in her power to save her people. There were many challenges to overcome and many trials that needed to be faced. Jane Alexandra's narration was great, and her performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
