About this listen
Lowly editor Edwin de Valu's life moves at a pretty humdrum pace, until he discovers the manuscript for Tupak Soiree's book on his desk. This self-help tome is different - it actually works. And soon the world turns upside down thanks to the advice of this mysterious guru.

Edwin "De Valu" not DE-Value.
Narrator couldn't pronounce the main character's name properly. Other than that, an amazing book. Will Ferguson is a very talented writer.

Fun read
Self help gone wrong with Just enough over the top to be enjoyable. A twisted tale around the human condition.

A Different Kind of Will Ferguson revealed!!!
What did you love best about Happiness?
I had already read the book when I saw this on audible. What a fabulous book.. It was so well read and performed! totally worth it.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This is a very funny, tongue in cheek book. It really does make you wonder what would happen if someone wrote the ultimate self help book and it worked... you've gotta listen to this one.

Flat narration
The book is chatty, lots of exposition, thoughts, and conversations. But the narrator was not up to the task of making it all compelling; some of it became unfortunately boring. The book, which focuses on the tribulations of an editor, needs editing. Moments that could be quite comical are sucked dry by the narration, both the narrator's execution and the over-chattiness of the book. The basic premise is imaginative and its realization has some entertaining twists, but the performance is regrettable.
