In this book, Katrina Hazzard-Donald explores African Americans' experience and practice of the herbal, healing folk belief tradition known as Hoodoo. Informative and Interesting
I overall enjoyed this book. However, there is quite a bit of information to unpack and in my opinion, I wish I had read a hardbound version with photo or drawing references to accompany the words. It’s easy to get lost in much of the dense and detailed descriptions. This book does make me more interested in learning about Vodou and Haitian culture, in general.
