About this listen
In this memoir and self-help story, a digital nomad, expatriate and economic refugee finds himself in a foreign land where he is forced to unlock the endless mysteries of Asia.
Along the way, our wayward traveler begins to smile with genuine happiness for the first time in his life, and he soon realizes that if he had never journeyed to the ASEAN region, he might not still be alive to write these words.
This 25,000-word travelogue, tour guidebook, and self help text can serve as an introduction to Asia and Thailand, or an atlas of how being in this country can help anyone turn their lives around, gain physical and mental health, and find a new lease on life.

Its all true and written from real experience
I’ve lived in Thailand since 2014. And I have to agree 100% with the sentiments of this author. He lays his soul bare and openly admits to his mistakes but grateful for the redemption that Thailand has bought him.
I feel pretty much the same way but I haven’t got the deep wounds or scars to heal. It’s just that I come from a busy society that is obsessed with work. I have gained health and happiness here in Thailand that I doubt I could find in my country of birth.
Amazingly, the narration is computer generated. But you’d never know it - apart from the totally incorrect pronunciation of Thai Names. That’s why I gave the performance 4 stars.
But this book will serve as an excellent introduction to the vibe of Thailand. It’s rare to find such intelligent observation written so beautifully with the warm heart and unbounded gratefulness.
