About this listen
#5 in the Cotton Cooper series.
As an infant, Cotton was placed on a goose down pillow under an oak tree. Lightning struck the tree and ever since, Cotton has had white hair. But other things were affected, he is able to run faster, jump higher than a normal man. He can see like an eagle and hear like a rabbit and smell like a bear.
He is a special agent for Wells Fargo and also a deputy US marshal. He has two deputy friends that accompany him on difficult assignments. The rugged expert rifleman, Justin Dryer out of Cedar Ridge and the long tall Texan, Frank Golden out of Plano, Texas.
In this book the trio goes after a gang of 30 outlaws who have stolen over a hundred thousand dollars in gold from Wells Fargo.
