About this listen
I’m a baby groundhog living underground in a den. Snow is above me. Living in a cold place, I grow two coats of hair. One is gray-white, and the other layer is thick brownish.
I’m grown-up now. My name is Phil because I like to “fill” myself up with food such as clover plants. Everybody is excited about today. It is February 2. Why are they gathered around my burrow?

Cute story about Groundhog Day
Learning about groundhogs is fun through this fast paced story. Predators and humans interact with Phil as we follow him into predicting the weather. It is a wonderful book to explain Groundhog's day to a primary class.
Cecilia Stewart narrated this story with fun, enthusiasm. Her voice is sweet and easy to listen to. She made the book exciting to listen to.
