About this listen
NAMED BEST MOUNTAIN MAN SERIES BY TRUE WEST MAGAZINE, LANE R WARENSKI’S BEST SELLING GRIZZLY KILLER SERIES CONTINUES WITH THE UNINVITED.
In the fall of 1839, “Grizzly Killer” Zach Connors is still recovering from a Gros Ventre arrow. When his arrival at Rendezvous proves disappointing, both in the meager supplies available and the lack of game throughout the area of Horse Creek and the Green River, a powerful earthquake drives him and his companions away.
With a call for help from friends and family, Zach goes to the Shoshone village of Chief Spotted Elk. But danger lies in wait, and the Shoshone are forced to face off against their most hated enemy—the Blackfeet.
Meanwhile, a group of men with dreams of getting rich from the hides of buffalo head into the unforgiving western wilderness. Ill prepared for the potential dangers and led by the ambitious dreamer, Isaac Snow, they follow the Platte River Road into the land of the buffalo, where they find their prize—and become the uninvited.
Dive into the untamed heart of the American West as the legendary Zach Connors navigates rivalries and survival in a land where the rules are written by nature itself. Grab your copy of this mountain man adventure today!

After a grizzly kills his pa, Zach struggles to survive a cold and brutal winter alone. After killing a rouge grizzly and fighting hostile Indians on his own, he becomes known as Grizzly Killer and is respected throughout the West. Along with his dog, Jimbo, whom the Indians call the Great Medicine Dog, he finds Running Wolf, an injured Ute warrior, and together they fight off a hostile war party. Rachel looked down at her husband’s dead body, the long knife protruding from his gut. She knew she’d be hanged or shot if she stayed in Missoula, so she’d have to run. But where could she go? The only place that came to mind was the hidden valley northwest of town. It was owned by a loner named Marsh Anderson, whom she had never met. She was going to have to bet her life that he wouldn’t turn her in to the sheriff, the brother of her dead husband.

The town got its unusual name when a pair of brokedown prospectors accidentally dropped a stick of dynamite in the Rockies—and unearthed a massive vein of silver. One of the two men dropped dead from excitement. The other one named the place "Dead Broke" in honor of his dead broke companion and declared himself mayor of a brand-new mining town. Mayor Allane Auchenleck—better known as Nugget—put Dead Broke on the map. But when the silver market takes an unexpected nosedive, the bustling boomtown goes bust. And all hell breaks loose.

He was barely nineteen when he caught a pair of rustlers stealing cattle—and singlehandedly brought them to justice. How did a teenaged boy track down and capture two hardcase thieves without any help? That's what Tinhorn sheriff Buck Jackson wants to know. He can't help but be impressed by Flint's sharp eye and natural talent with a Henry rifle. So he offers to deputize the boy—tin badge, Colt Frontier Six-Shooter, and all—and Flint happily accepts.
