About this listen
Ada Goth is the only child of Lord Goth. The two live together in the enormous Ghastly-Gorm Hall. It's hard for her to make friends and she's rather lonely.
Then one day William and Emily Cabbage come to stay at the house, and together with a ghostly mouse called Ishmael they begin to unravel a dastardly plot.
Ada and her friends must work together to foil the evil gamekeeper, Maltravers, before it's too late!

So much fun!
This was so much fun!
I immersion read this - for the beautiful illustrations and the awesome narrator, and I warmly recommend enjoying and experiencing the story that way.
As I have said in some of my previous reviews, I much prefer Chris Riddell's illustrations when they are more gentle and this book, being a wholesome and whimsical children's book, just reaffirms my opinion.
The narrator, Lucy Brown, is amazing in it, and I will definitely check out her other work (as well as continue on with this whimsical and cozy series).
