My name is Kazimir Wolfe. People call me "Kaz", except they don’t. I never use my real name; it’s too dangerous, for me and for anyone I meet. I’m on the run from the law, who think I killed my aunt, and from whoever did kill her, because they want to finish the job. So, I move around a lot, working construction or whatever job I can find. It’s a lonely life. I don’t let anyone get close...people who get close to me end up dead. Why? I’m a wizard. The world’s only wizard, as far as I know.

Story
Skeeve is a magician’s apprentice (and a wanna-be thief) until an assassin’s bolt kills his master, Garkin. Along with Aahz, the green-scaled, purple-tongued demon and master magician summoned by Garkin, he sets out on a quest to get even. The road to vengeance is bound to prove rocky, however, because Skeeve can barely light a candle with his beginning magic, and Aahz has lost his own considerable magical abilities as a consequence of Garkin’s summoning spell.

Almost a century has passed. The fiery hatreds of a quarter-century of warfare between the Terran Federation and the Zheeerlikou'valkhannaieeee, the cat-like species humans called the "Orions", have eased at least a little.

For a thousand years the ash fell and no flowers bloomed. For a thousand years the Skaa slaved in misery and lived in fear. For a thousand years the Lord Ruler, the "Sliver of Infinity," reigned with absolute power and ultimate terror, divinely invincible. Story
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

And at the feet of its wise Masters, Lanoree Brock learned the mysteries and methods of the Force - and found her calling as one of its most powerful disciples. Now, from her solitary life as a Ranger keeping order across the galaxy, Lanoree has been summoned by the Je’daii Council on a matter of utmost urgency.

Before Miss Peregrine gave them a home, the story of peculiars was written in the Tales. Wealthy cannibals who dine on the discarded limbs of peculiars. A fork-tongued princess. These are but a few of the truly brilliant stories in Tales of the Peculiar - the collection of fairy tales known to hide information about the peculiar world, including clues to the locations of time loops - first introduced by Ransom Riggs in his number-one best-selling Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series.

Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. This is simply good old school Sci Fi fun
Along the lines of the Star Wars radio dramas from National Public Radio but with a bit soft R content. If you haven't already, listen to the first book "The Helmsman" before Galactic Convoy.

Excellent Read
Best if you had read "The Helmsman" by Bill Baldwin. Overall very fast moving book that captures your full attention. I listen daily on a 30 minutes ride to and from work. This book has been one that I have stayed in the car to listen to when returning home. If you enjoyed Baldwin's earlier book you should enjoy this one.

Love this book
I’m a truck driver so I love to listen to audiobooks while traveling down the road. I listen to book one and two over and over. I love the story and love it even more that it was done with a full cast. I wish the rest of the saga was put on audio. But I highly recommend The Helmsman and Galactic Convoy.

Great Pulp SciFi Fun!
Sure the "acting" can be a little stiff at times. But who cares! It's a ripping good yarn!
I have been hard on some of the bad acting and bad writing in other books sold on Audible (you should avoid Death Stalker like the plague), but the writing here is great fun and pretty tight. Be forewarned that the books in this series are occasionally predictable and kind of stiffly preformed, but the writing is fine and the plot is just good SciFi fun. Suspend your disbelief! Blow a credit! It's worth the adventure!
