About this listen

In Four Weeks to Finished, writers will learn important tips on increasing productivity and avoiding costly mistakes.

In this era of instant gratification media, writers must produce at a faster and faster pace, making it possible to get their work into the marketplace more quickly. This, however, is easier said than done. Four Weeks to Finished is a valuable tool for an expert or novice to becoming a prolific author and mastering the job of writing for a living.

With over 50 novels published by three different publishers, Jake Bible has learned a lot about staying focused! He knows he has to stay at the top of his writing game because writing is money. And he's ready to share his experience.

"I found it engaging, funny, and informative. I was especially struck by the instruction to keep the ideas simple." (Nathan Ballingrud, author of North American Lake Monsters, winner of the Shirley Jackson Award)

"If you want to write more fiction and publish it consistently, you need to read and heed this book. Jake Bible finished three books and a novella while you read this." (Terry Mixon, best-selling author of the Empire of Bones saga and co-host of the Dead Robots Society podcast)

Very helpful

I'm discouraged and thinking of quitting at the editing phase of my first story that is bigger than a short story... but I learned that it's normal to hate your work at this point. Thanks! That fact made listening to this book worth it for me. Jake is a little like a football coach for writers, and that's exactly what I needed right now.

Surprisingly motivational!

This was worth it just for the chapter on getting ideas. The author/narrator has a personality that shines through while he reads the book and encourages you to get stuff done!
It's not a specific "how to write a novel in four weeks" as it is more of a general compendium of very good advice. Some of it may be things you have heard before but he tells it in a more interesting way, It was like having him right next to me kicking my butt to get the writing done already.
This was definitely worth the download and worth me writing a review, which I hardly ever do.

Exactly what I needed right now

I’m chin deep in editing a rough draft novel into something better and really needed some advice, a bit of cheering, and some tough love when it comes to the reality of writing a novel. This book had all of that and was exactly the right length to right the ship and get me back on my way.

A No Nonsense Guide To Prolific Writing

Jake is a seasoned veteran when it comes to prolific writing, and is someone who can actually speak with authority on the topic. In this book, he lays everything out in a clear and concise manner with zero fluff. With the exception of some intentional repetition (used to drive home some important points), this is a straight to the point and easy to follow guide for anyone looking to get their book out of their head and into print in a fast and repeatable way.
You won't find any segments on craft or structure, this is all about productivity and process. It's the meat and potatoes of how to get the work done. No fancy garnish or appetizers to delay or distract you from the main course. It's refreshing, and extremely helpful.
The audio quality is exactly what you would expect, no issues there, and Jake's light conversational tone make the chapters zip by (it's not the snoozefest you'll find with some other writing books). Pick it up if you're looking to boost your writing productivity. I think you'll get a lot out of it. I know I did.
