About this listen
The north was decimated by war centuries ago and nature never recovered. Rumors and whispers now spread of the return of the darkness that once plagued the lands. Prince Gilford remains as the only surviving heir of a dying kingdom but he must remain vigilant as he knows there is more to fear than simply the darkness.
Yet he is not alone, an old hero of the past - Bathir, leads a small band of companions on a quest to reclaim an ancient war relic that could ultimately turn the tide of the impending war.

Fantasy
Forsaken Kingdom by T.L. Routledge is an excellent fantasy adventure. Dave Cruse did an amazing job with the narration. Forsaken Kingdom is the prologue to The Tales of Telaria series. The story is entertaining, and more. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.would recommend

Masterpiece
Dave Cruse is a master narrator, perfect for the genre! Felt like my grandfather reading me a bedtime story. The story was amazing and I’m greatly looking forward to the next book in the series!

Fun, short high fantasy
This is a fun short high fantasy appetizer that feels like a trailer for a DnD-esque fantasy epic series. The writing is solid, the world is interesting and if you like high fantasy you're going to enjoy this. 3/5 is a solid score from me, the world building here is good but it didn't give me time to development and attachment to any of the characters, most of which intrigued me. As a way of generating interest in the main series this is a success, I'm definitely interested in further exploring this world.
