About this listen
Half-daemon Envy Starr is destined to die on Midsummer’s Eve, still a virgin, on some crappy cult’s live-stream feed. With thirty days left to live, the chance to escape her fate and get some action compels her into her absentee father’s world of beautifully cultured cruelty.
Once there, she’s the object of a deadly game, slated to alter the Fae realm’s power structure. Worse, the rules keep changing, and everyone has an ulterior motive, including her dae-licious guide, Brennan. Under a geas he’s desperate to break, she can’t trust him, or herself.
Stupid Stockholm syndrome.
But unless she can come to terms with what lies in her heart, her unlikely survival will be a fate worse than death. For her, and the rest of Fae.

Super Fun Listen
This was my first book in the Paranormal Romance/Urban Fastasy genre. It was a well developed world with interesting and complicated characters. I really enjoyed it!
I especially loved the narration. Celeste Kono was perfect for the snarky main character and did an excellent job giving life to the many other characters. Well done!

Great world created
I really enjoyed the world that was created in this story. The characters we so interesting and it set up for an interesting take on the far world. The style is an almost like a diary and took a bit of getting used to. The narrator was good with the main characters. I would love if this story was done in a duet though. I do look forward to the next story in the series.

Excellent story, great delivery
This book delves into the fae realm through the protagonist Envy, the gorgeous friend you never had because she’s too sarcastic to let anyone get that close. Her perspective allows the reader to learn about her experience along side her as she navigates the completely crazy other-worldly realm.
Excellent character development and world building. Can’t wait for the next installment!

Snarky, strong heroine
Envy is a halfling in a world where halflings don't live long. In fact, Envy knows she has exactly 30 days to live. She's snarky as only a young-adult in her early 20s can be who has noting to lose. But there's a lot more in play than even Envy knows and she's pulled into a a fae world full of drama and intrigue and a game where she literally holds the key with her life. I liked how Envy often addresses the listener/reader directly like this story is her diary.
