About this listen
Men today have the ability to read and be inspired by masculine myths and stories from all of the world's religions. We can see how they evolved from one to another. Still, so many men find themselves searching for some sense of what is sacred and want to connect to something eternal, something greater than themselves. The question is: With so many choices, so many traditions, so many gods and heroes - which ones?
In Fire in the Dark, author Jack Donovan - best known for his underground classic, The Way of Men - explores the common themes in these myths that are still relevant to the lives of men today. Beginning with the simple, primal metaphor of the campfire, Donovan identifies a tripartite system of masculine roles and shows how those roles have been repeated again and again throughout the history of myth and religion. It is the nature of men to create order from chaos, and when order has been created, it is the work of men to protect and perpetuate that order. These jobs have been idealized in world-ordering sky fathers and thundering warriors and fertility gods. Donovan has integrated these ideals into a natural spirituality for men that is not new, but actually draws from the very oldest ideas about what it means to be a man.

Story
In A More Complete Beast, Jack Donovan picks up Friedrich Nietzsche's thoughts on nobility and master morality and uses them to guide men through an "upside-down" modern world, avoid the trap of hateful ressentiment, and overcome adversity through creativity. In Donovan's hands, Nietzsche's words are rasps and chisels to help men refine a strength-based ethos, revealing their highest and noblest selves to become more complete men. And, as Nietzsche reminded us, man is a beast - so to become a more complete man is always to become a more complete beast.

There is a war on masculinity, and everywhere we look—on every front we hold sacred—we can see the painful reminders of this collapsing order. The chaos and crisis we are experiencing today should be a signal for men everywhere to rise up; to fight to preserve our way of life by once again walking the ancient paths. But this isn’t a journey that need be taken alone.

Story
Ancient and classical societies have always had an ideal of manhood. In Japan, the samurai cultivated not only the art of the sword, but also poetry, calligraphy, and spiritual practice. In Confucianism, the ideal man was the Chun-Tzu (the Higher Man), who cultivated both the arts of war and the arts of peace. And in medieval Europe, the knight lived by the comparable code of chivalry. Such men, considered both warriors and mystics, exemplified wholeness. Yet today, men exist in a chaotic world without role models, guidance, or a sense of the sacred masculine.

What does it mean to be a man in the modern world? Throughout history, being a man has meant different things. Maybe being a man was about being a good hunter, or a good soldier, a good businessman, or maybe good with women. Hard Times Create Strong Men examines what it means to be a man in the modern world relative to money, sex, religion, and politics. This audiobook examines what worked and what doesn’t work based on proven history instead of feelings.

In this final master-work of The Rational Male series, Rollo Tomassi breaks down the fundamental mechanics of Game, intersexual social skills, and the nuts and bolts psychology that makes it work. The Players Handbook is not a "how-to" book, it's a "why-it-works" book. It’s not an instruction manual—it is the missing textbook on Game and understanding intersexual dynamics. Game is an adaptive set of social skills and best practices in navigating intersexual dynamics in a modern sexual marketplace.

Story
Men have been conditioned to be the quintessential "nice guy". They're trained to be overly humble, kind to a fault, and that just "being themselves" is enough to attract and keep the woman of their dreams. Men are told to believe that conventional masculinity is toxic and to put women ahead of their own interests, passions, and purpose. This book exposes the comforting lies you've been told throughout your life for what they really are, enabling you to become a truly authentic alpha who chases excellence and leads a successful passion-filled life.

Some say that this work, found in a safe-box in the port area of Kowloon, was dictated because Bronze Age Pervert refuses to learn what he calls "the low and plebeian art of writing". It isn't known how this work was transcribed. The contents are pure dynamite. He explains that you live in ant farm. That you are observed by the lords of lies, ritually probed. Ancient man had something you have lost: confidence in his instincts and strength, knowledge in his blood. BAP shows how the Bronze Age mind-set can set you free from this iron prison and help you embark on the path of power.

The King's Curriculum is an idea, a philosophy, and a cosmology built upon the ancient tradition of Sacred Kingship. It connects man with his true will, and leads him on a divine path, securing his own crown, throne, and kingdom in the process. The mythic journey described in this book might be thought of as a metaphor for personal transformation, a sacred ritual of bringing order to one's consciousness as both a spiritual practice and practical approach for cultivating a fulfilling life.

Myth, men, and masculinity.
Great book on the roles of men by way of myth and jung... Despite reaching back millennia in time, It offers a contemporary framework for the roles of men and is a logical counter to the narrative of toxic masculinity.

Timeless, inspiring work.
Great work as always from Jack. Sometimes when an author narrates his own work, it leaves you wishing they hired someone else to do it. Not so in this case, he is as skilled a narrator as an author.

A well needed book on the lacking foundation of today’s Man.
Jack has done it again. The latest book in my opinion is designed for the man who already understands man. Using the lore of the past he’s designed the fundamental foundation of what a man must have in his life for it to be truly complete. A purpose - a reason for being beyond just being.
For well over a decade we have seen the western world attack masculinity in ever possible way - mainstream media, corporations, educational institutions, social media, and state and federal government. With the boot of the world on our throats, we can rebuild the foundation brick by brick but these stories must be told, these lessons must have an audience.

A positive vision of masculine excellence
I listen to all of Jack Donovan's works on audio.
I've seen his evolution from awareness, commitment, to rage, and finally to providing a vision and a process of positive masculinity in a world that not only doesn't care, but often punishes us, for being men. It's not a step-by-step guide. But it does provide principles of action. And inspiration. And for that I am eternally grateful to Mr Donovan. And if you're a man who hears the call to be a man as men have always been up until just recently, consider this book an essential resource. Good luck to you. Good luck to us all.
