Soul Mates

A very engaging tale. It makes you think, what would I do in her situation? It is definitely a different take on vampire stories. I received this audiobook for free and I am freely giving this review.

Magical

Intense and informative paranormal. Two very strong main characters so they definitely bump heads both make some bad decisions but together they make a great explosive team. Love will always find a way, story is very interesting and was enjoyable. I received a free audio version and am voluntarily reviewing. The narrators did a good job with the female voices.

Excellent storyline Great characters and absolutely wonderful Narrator!!
This author is a very good writer who makes you not want to put book down ( Or stop listening). I do Miss the Gargoyles though and hope they are back in the next book.

Maya and Tristan

This is the second book in the Underground Encounters series but you don't have to have listened to the first one to enjoy this, although I do recommend it, I think this one was well written with excellent characters in Maya Winters and Tristan Stone. The chemistry in this particular book is off the charts, it's sooooo hot (perfect for a book called Fire)! The characters are so good together, they both have secrets she may be a fire-fighter but she also has a hidden edge which helps her do her job. Whilst Tristan is a witch, who comes from an old Salem family, but he thinks the talents he has inherited are more of a curse than anything else.

In the first book Maya and her friend Nike, also a fire-fighter, went to Vamps an underground Goth club they both enjoyed visiting, Nike met the owner Michel, a vampire and they began a relationship. Later there was a fire which caused lots of damage so Michel decided to sell the club, which was later bought and re-vamped by Tristan.

Tristan may own the club but he doesn't frequent it, his curse makes doing so difficult but one night he sees Maya and is drawn to her, the feeling is mutual, but will they be able to make a relationship work? Will they trust each other with their secrets especially as what they have together is too good to let it go.

I really enjoyed this book, I enjoyed the storyline, the characters, the chemistry and the writing style. The book is narrated by Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton who brought the characters to life beautifully.

Amazing story.

I read the book some time ago and NOW I listened to the audio and loved it even more than the first time around. Many audios have one narrator for both make and female characters. Fire has a male and female narrator and I loved both voices!

Maya missed her BFF and fellow firefighter. She missed sharing the underground club experience. Still, it was time to get out and live again. The first time she returns she met Tristan, the new owner, and recluse. She drew him and he danced with her surprising himself. Could he trust his feeling, what he saw in her? Even with his secret could they have something? What he didn't know was that Maya had her own secret. One she didn't share with anyone.
They have great chemistry. He's been honest with her and why he doesn't come around people. She seems okay with it, however, he doesn't want her to live in the shadows as he does. Can she convince him either he deserves the light or that if he can't share it with her she'll share his place?
Another amazing underground romance.

Fantastic PNR & Narration🎧 Maya💘Tristan🔥

This is a fantastic story, it is well written and well told. Lisa Carlisle created an imaginative story with equally imaginative characters. I enjoyed her writing style, she had my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. Her characters are complex and well developed. I adored the two leads and the chemistry between them. I admired Maya for her strength and how easily she accepted Tristan for who he was and his abilities. My heart went out to Tristan, his loneliness and his need to keep his distance from people. That was until he sees her on the dance floor of his new nightclub. She is his light to his dark but can it really be. I loved how well plotted this book is, there is plenty of drama, angst, some twists, magical moments, emotional ones as well as the start of a great romance. It was great to see the characters come into their own as they worked their magic together. Thank you Lisa Carlisle for this fantastic story.

Amber Lee Connors & Kieran Flitton are wonderful narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. They did a great job portraying the characters and capturing their passion and emotions which could be heard in their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Two lonely people come together

Maya returns to the nightclub where she and Nike always went dancing on their nights off from the firehouse. She hasn't seen the club, or her best friend, since the night of the explosion and fire. It is now under new management and when the new owner catches sight of Maya on the dance floor he is astonished that she is surrounded by light. He is so used to only seeing the darkness in people that he knows he must meet this woman. As they grow closer they must share secrets that could mean the end of their relationship or the beginning of something beautiful.

I thought some of the "feelings" in this story were a little too much. The way Tristan went off when Maya admitted she had kissed another man was a little over the top. He had just broken up with her after all. I was given a copy of this audiobook by the author. My review is voluntary.

Intriguing!

This is the second book in the Underground Encounters Series. Maya and Tristan's story is interesting, and intriguing. I loved to see again the characters from the first book. Amber Lee Connors and Kieran Flitton did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Ignite, the next book in the Series. #AudiobooksUnleashed
