Scientifically, spiritually, and creatively, this is not just a work of art, but is also a call to open our eyes to what's right before us. Passed down in ancient texts and written in the heavens (literally), our past and future are spelled out. Exciting, motivating, and intensely engaging!

Probably one of the best books ever written

This book is a masterpiece of informational delight. For those of you who would like to learn more about our history and begin to understand the mysteries that still pervade our societies today, read this book. If you have any interest in what is lauded as the impossible, read this book. If you, as myself, find yourself to be an inquisitive person searching for answers and questions all around you then you absolutely need to read this book.
Thank you Graham Hancock.

Enthralling

Once you have listened, you will not be able to “un-listen” or unlearn what you have heard and learned. An apocalyptic story told from the vantage point of geology, cosmology, history, archeology and mathematics; the reader is drawn into the quest for answers to unsolved answers to our most basic questions. Who are our ancestors? And, even more pressing; how will we handle the impending catastrophic climactic changes? Can we leave traces of our knowledge, signs of our existence, to future survivors of the next impending apocalypse?

At the top for the moment.

Passion for the topic.

No, there's just too much information to digest.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed the author's extensive research and presented facts to back up his hypothesis.

Alluring!

Well researched and thought provoking outside of the box most modern scientists are imprisoned in. It brings together multiple aberrations in history in a coherent manner that makes sense. It’s also a warning of what may happen to us. Well done. I look forward to his other works.

Thought provoking!

On why our history and great civilizations popped up fully formed. And Hancock takes us past the Sumerians and puts forth theories as to who the earliest of our ancestors are. It made sense, there is research to tie it all together and maintstream scientists can't refute it. They can poo poo it, surely, but they can't prove it wrong. Isn't that what scientists are supposed to do? Take evidence and follow it through to potential conclusions? Hancock starts at the beginning and follows the evidence through to a stunning conclusion. There is much to hear and learn from this book, even if you aren't an ancient alien theory advocate. It was quite refreshing to have someone actually follow the scientific method through to a non-mainstream conclusion and publish it.

If you want to understand the ancient alien theory, this is a great place to start. Graham Hancock does a decent job of narrating the material himself although I did speed it up to 1.5x.

Interesting Theories

Gets lost and confusing at times. The stories of Egypt and the Mayan were absolutely fascinating. Highly recommended. If something is missed just remind back until the message is received and interpreted properly.

The stories were brilliant

I cannot wait to read his second and newer one. The ideas conceived in this book have so much evidence that one cannot dismiss that our ancient ancestors were magnificently brilliant. I hope to see Graham include some of the works of Peratt and the Thunderbolts project and maybe see what The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) and scholar Anthony Larsen have to say concerning ancient people’s before the deluge. I will buy the hard copy of this book now.

This is a most excellent book!

Such an amazing read! Graham Hancock has done an amazing job researching and bringing to light some of the most relevant big questions of our place here on earth, our ancient past and the possibilities of a preginator shared ancestry. If you find archeo paleontology, history or geology at all interesting this book is an extremely thought provoking read!

Amazingly thought provoking!

A fascinating read that makes you wonder about our purpose here on earth, universal oneness, and ancient civilizations.
Before starting this book, I thought that I was going to be reading about conspiracy theories and aliens, but not quite.
Hancock presents good arguments, backed by evidence and sound logic, that challenges the reader to think outside the box in relation to ancient history and our purpose as humans. Hancock asks the tough questions and isn't afraid to challenge the popular understanding of (for example) the construction of the pyramids in Egypt and the Mayan calendar. I will definitely be reading other books from this author.
