About this listen
Life is full of surprises. Sometimes those surprises are wonderful and sometimes they are horrific. Raising her beautiful daughter, Lindsey, on her own with the unending support of her best friend and her husband, Anna was happy. Until one night, she wasn't. Tragedy struck, tipping Anna's world into a downward spiral of despair. Her world turns dark and bleak and she sinks further into depression. Her friends try to pull her out of her misery, but it's Jacob Caulder that saves her, bringing her back into the light. Life is good again, although memories haunt her. The one missing link to her existence is no longer there, but Jacob helps her along the way, giving her back something she's lost. Once again, life rips Anna's world apart, leaving behind shattered remains. Guilt and shame plague her and it seems impossible for her to crawl out of the deep hole she finds herself in once more. But she has no choice, There is someone else who needs her to be strong. At the darkest time of her life, Zak walks in and becomes the savior she needs. Finding her strength, she overcomes the heartbreak of her past and learns to blossom again. Will life find another way to bring her to her knees and keep her there once and for all? Or has fate deemed she's given up enough already?

Pharaoh's daughters don't cry. When we make our way down the tiled hall, I try to stop at ummi Kiya's chamber. I know her spirit has flown, yet I long for one more moment. So much heartache for one person!
I don't know where to begin with my review. From start to finish this book reaches in and grabs your heart and doesn't let go until the very last words. The amount of loss and heartache that Anna goes through almost seems like it would be too much! I have to say that I hope we all have a best friend/sister like Amy who was there for Anna at every turn!
Terri England brought this story to life with her wonderful narration of all the characters in this book. Can't wait to listen to more of her work!

So much Heartache!!!
This book was incredible! I was captivated by this heart-wrenching story from the very beginning. This book was very well written and the performance was outstanding. Title is very appropriate. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and or narrator. I loved this book, yet I cried listening to this book. Don't wear mascara while listening. (This book shifts from past incidents to present and back and forth, so its not a chronological listen)

I Need Another Tissue!
Any additional comments?
Aptly named, Finding Strength is a story of heartache, loss and moving on. I was immediately drawn in to Anna's very emotional and gut-wrenching story. The narration was beautifully performed and really made the story come alive.
I loved Finding Strength and it shows us just how resilient the human spirit is. I would highly recommend this but make sure that you have plenty of tissues on hand.

Worth a credit
I tell ya, I couldn't keep up with all the heartache this book contained. This poor cast of characters had more than their fill of bad luck and their ability to find happy in between was inspiring. The heartbreaking, yet uplifting ending was especially well done. I typically like a good flashback or two but I didn't really enjoy the bouncing around this time. It was difficult to fully invest in the emotions of today when yesterday had not been clearly laid out for me yet. I could have been more emotionally invested had the storyline simply started at the beginning and moved forward. Just my personal preference. Overall well done -from storyline to characters to writing to narration.
I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. This did not influence my review in any way. I will listen to this one again.

Heartbreaking Story
Finding Strength is a beautifully written and heartbreaking story by Shevawn Michelle. The characters Anna, are genuine, I connected with them immediately. Anna has suffered a great tragedy, it's impossible not be moved by her journey. Terri England conveyed all the emotions the characters felt through her performance, further engaging the listeners.
