About this listen
For centuries, historians have speculated that the Queen of Sheba is nothing more than a seductive legend; but when undercover agent Omar Zagouri finds a tomb in a tunnel beneath Jerusalem, he unearths cryptic clues that may lead to the queen's final resting place.
This discovery, if authentic, could throw into question the governmental claim to the Holy Land - and prove the Bible false. Wealthy collectors, ruthless archaeologists, and officials from Egypt, Ethiopia, Israel, and Yemen scramble to find and lay claim to the secret site.
Dr. Richard Lyon of Brown University, the world's leading expert on the queen, is found murdered in his office, setting off a chain of deadly events. Omar desperately works to piece together the puzzle to locate the queen's burial ground, fearing another assassination will take place. He teams up with one of Lyon's protégées as well as with his ex-girlfriend, agent Mia Golding, in order to unravel the truth about the queen, expose a murderer, and reveal a timeless story of love, revenge, and sacrifice.

The Nazis, however, have also chosen an unlikely agent.

This ambitious, electrifying work traces the harrowing journey of the famed Sarajevo Haggadah, a beautifully illuminated Hebrew manuscript created in 15th-century Spain. Good story tho main character flawed.
The story was interesting going back and forth In Time nicely linking each chapter to each other gradually pulling to a singular story line. I thought most characters well developed with a glaring exception of the main character "Jade". She was supposed be a graduate and masters degree holder and she knew little of the country and customs that she landed to do her thesis on. It was annoying how naive and uninformed she was.why would a professor choose her to assist him? I was rolling my eyes.
The narrated was terrific. I will definitely look for more books that he has narrated.

An amazing narrator...and story! :D
One if my main reasons for purchasing this book was because of the narrator. But I'm glad that the story also turned out to be just as equally amazing. I loved the different twists and turns that the story went through and how the author presented the information. The dialogue was also very good. I loved all the characters as well. My only criticism is that I wish Jade and Lucas could have become involved!

Fun story
The plot switches back and forth between the ancient times of the exotic Queen of Sheba, and modern times, as excavators hunt for her tomb. But which of the seekers are good and which are evil? Who will survive the search? Does the queen ever find what she seeks? The writer kept me interested right to the end.
The narrator was okay, but his French voice sounded just like his Arabic voice.
All in all, a fun listen.

Great Story Effectively Narrated!
If you could sum up Finding Sheba in three words, what would they be?
Adventurous, Devotion, Contemplative
What other book might you compare Finding Sheba to and why?
None other. This book was engaging with regard to an entertaining, thought provoking perspective of a piece of history that is treasured by societies throughout the world.
Which scene was your favorite?
I favored Nicola's resolve to be a queen despite her insatiable passion to drink from the "forbidden" fountain of love.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Lucas' discussions regarding the potential chaos that would accompany the actual location of the queen's final resting place was most interesting. I was also heart broken near the end and tearfully reminded that life experiences can sometimes be so harsh that we feel victimized by the natural and innocent flow of events.
Any additional comments?
I seldom write book reviews. However, this one was well deserving of the thought to do so. It was truly entertaining with descriptive passions that drove each character toward their goal. I found myself looking for more of H.B. Moore's work and that of the gifted narrator, Bon Shaw. I sincerely hope that Moore continue to produce the quality of work demonstrated in this outstanding piece of literature. I also look forward to hearing Mr. Shaw tell me another story.

History+fiction well blended
H.B.Moore wrote a good story that connected an ancient story cloaked in mystery, and a second modern story about discovery that loosely parallels the life of The fictionalization of Sheba.
The story about the relationship between Solomon and Sheba and the secretive switch with her sister was really interesting. And in the modern day story the discovery of Sheba's burial chamber was equally well done.
The story moves right on along, with very few slow or boring periods, and I salute the author for his talent and skill 😎

Great story poorly written and narrated
The idea and plot of this story are pretty interesting and it is well-paced , but the central characters are all weirdly lovesick, like 15-year-olds. This makes other shortcomings, like careless grammar and unimaginative word choice, more difficult to overlook. Add to this the unvarying inflection of the narrator, and it can be a frustrating listen at times. For me, the story was compelling enough to get me through, but a less tolerant listener might be better off with a print version or skipping it altogether.

King Solomon duped?
This tale begins with late night murder. The envelope of almond-scented cyanide is the end of eminently respected and longtime Queen of Sheba researcher, Dr. Richard Lyon. While moving back and forth between the present day and 960BC, Moore weaves an intriguing tale of history, secrecy, hidden agendas, love and more. Although I wouldn't describe this as a love story, it is definitely an intriguing thriller; I found myself wrapped up in the story of the princess and her warrior - wondering if she was ever to be united with him. The love interests of Omar and Mia and Lucas and Jade kept me interested as well. The tale of the Queen of Sheba's deception of King Solomon was interesting. Though I do not know how much of this tale is based in actual history, I am intrigued enough to want to do further research on that period of history...and to want to read another title featuring Omar Zagouri! Even more so, I think I want to read the tale of how Lukas and Jade go on to determine if King Solomon was actually King Ramses II?!
