Battle of the Hunted
This is Book 3 of a trilogy, but since it ends on a cliffhanger, I can only hope that the author decides to continue the story!
If you don't want to know what happens, quit reading this review now! SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
All of the characters who have survived so far are back in this book. There are now two races of aliens, called the Order (the good guys) and the Scourge (the bad guys), who are invading Earth. The Order is trying to find a new planet away from the Scourge since the Scourge's favorite food is the Order. The Scourge have to be one of the most frightening beings that I have read in a long, long time. Nothing seems to be able to stop them and their appetite is never ending. Their whole reason for living seems to be to eat either humans or the Order. The Order appears to be trying to help the humans survive while trying to save themselves as well.
Our beloved characters from the previous books finally seem to have gotten smarter and not so trusting. You have some young girls, teenaged boys with attitude, evil biker gangs, a dog named Max that somehow has managed to survive and a growing romantic relationship or two. You also have a pretty badass Japanese gentleman who knows how to use a machine gun. All in all, a bunch of great characters that you hope will be able to survive (except for the Crusaders....you just want them to die a violent death!).
I was expecting this book to wrap up the story, but it doesn't. Instead, you have a surprise ending that definitely leaves the reader wanting more. This trilogy has progressed into a totally different direction than I thought it would when I first started reading it and the writer's skill has progressed as well. She has written a book that is definitely one to either scare you or give you nightmares!
This book does have quite a bit of cursing, so if that is offensive, steer clear. But, to be honest, who wouldn't be cursing if they were being pursued by aliens who want to make you their lunch!
The narrator does a great job and really added a lot to my enjoyment of the book. I was given a chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book through Audiobook Worm and chose to review it.

Great Read
Fatal Reaction, Battle of the Hunted was another great by M.A. Hollstein. The survivors find themselves having to work together with the aliens in order to save the planet. They are face with creatures that are looking to procreate and end the human race. This was another great read by M.A. Hollstein.

Human Offal On The Menu
It's the end of the world as we know it.
Yet another well written story, 3rd in a series
but can be a standalone as the author deftly
reintroduces the charactors without it losing
the flow to the audience that has read/heard
the first two stories. Very well done.
I enjoy the narration of Tim Jackson but I do
enjoy him at 1 1/4 speed-just my preference (he's quite good).
I look forward to book number #4.

Another great book in this series!💜
This is one of the best sci-fi series I’ve read/listened to in a long time.
This book continues the fight for the human race. Plenty of action some light romance and let’s just the aliens are not the only problem. It easily flows between different scenarios (main character storylines) happening at the the same time. This book also adds new characters which add even more mystery.
It’s creepy, mysterious and suspenseful. I love all the characters and I’m excited to read/listen to the next book in this series.
The narration was absolutely amazing!! The narrator really brings these characters to life!! And does a wonderful job on the different sound effects.
I would definitely recommend this book!
This is a continuous story but with no drastic cliffhanger.

Can’t wait for the next book!
The third book in the series, although the author does such a great job, this could stand on its own. I do recommend starting at book one, such a great story, might as well start at the beginning! Filled with action, and suspense, the author does a great job weaving the story through your imagination! I can’t wait to see what the next book holds! The narration is well done. I was given this review copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

Creepy and full of suspense
This book is phenomenal with a really creepy mysterious plan to lure you into thinking you know what's going on. The fight for the human race has truly begun and the humans must make an important decision in order to survive. This book has me in edge but I could not stop listening I had to find out what happened and who made it out ok. I highly recommend this series of you love sci-fi, mystery and action all rolled into one. I love to watch the characters develop over time the strength and cohesiveness.
Do not miss this series it is absolutely phenomenal, creative and impressive. I received this audio book at my request. I am voluntarily leaving this review of my own volition.

wish it was longer, but really good
I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
This has definitely been a series that I've enjoyed. I love how the author has woven aliens into a zombie apocalypse. My only complaint is that it is kind of short. That said, I also think this was the best book in the series. It definitely has a higher level of tension than the previous books. At least, for me it did. The narration continues to be good. I would highly recommend this series to any fan of the zombie apocalyse genre.

The Scourge Have Arrived
I totally enjoyed listening to this alien/dystopian book 3rd in series and thus far the best. I totally enjoy the characters Amanda, Bill, Ellie, Mike, Kylie and Uncle Jack. Most of the good aliens had left except a few and the vicious aliens (scourge) are killing and eating men and kidnapping fertile women while Susan is working to find a cure for the virus for remaining humans and is using Ben who can also communicate with the scourge. Cannot wait to find out about the women the scourge have kidnapped and if cure is found and who ends up surviving. Recommend if you want a different zombie/alien book. Don't listen alone
I had to stop this book multiple times! I got so scared. These books are a mix of walking dead and falling skies! Great storyline, background of characters, and narrator!
