About this listen
Reese "Gypsy" Shackelford has had a hard life, supporting herself and two daughters on a Waffle House salary. Never mind that her sister, Taylor, is living the good life with her family in an upscale neighborhood across town and sees Gypsy as a liability and the victim of her own misfortune.
However, Gypsy and Taylor aren’t prepared for the global pandemic of 2020 that would not only change their lives forever but also the lives of everyone in the city of Fayetteville, the state of North Carolina, the United States, and the entire world. And amid the turmoil, a major event would push the limit of police brutality and evoke a national outcry in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Through it all, Gypsy finds her real purpose in life.
Fallen Leaves represents lives lost during the pandemic and those lives lost that prompted the Black Lives Matter movement.

What is your purpose?
The story was very relatable. It's a shame that racism is still at a high. In this small town in NC, two police officers tried to use their authority and racism towards Gypsy, whom is black and one of the best waitresses at the Waffle House. Because she spoke up for herself, they wanted the owner to fire her. Ray, stood up for her and they weren't too happy about that. From then on, quite a few innocent people were killed at the hands of the policee. During the Pandemic, George Flyod was wrongly killed. Around the globe, people were protesting. Covid caused many places to close their doors. Join Gypsy, after going through a terrible illness to find her purpose along with her family. A turn of events had raised the movement of Black Lives Matter and caused jealousy among sisters.
