I’m Careena, a former angel of the celestial Host. Fallen and furious about it. Cast out for asking too many questions, now I’m stuck on Earth, running meaningless missions to earn my way back into the heavens... even though I’m not sure I belong there anymore. My latest assignment seemed simple: recover a powerful spellbook stolen by a coven of witches.

Easy enough.

Or so I thought.

Then I met Alyster. A Fae knight with a sharp blade and an even sharper tongue. Angels and Fae aren’t supposed to mix, but we’re forced into an uneasy alliance when the spellbook proves harder to recover than I’d ever imagined. As if that weren’t complicated enough, Rafail, a shape-shifting thief with a knack for trouble and too many secrets, joins the mission.

The three of us couldn’t be more different, but something about this mission binds us together. It also pulls me closer to them in ways I never expected. But an ancient evil is rising, and the spellbook may be the only key to stopping it. The fate of all the realms depends on this fallen angel rising to the challenge.
