Alyssa Wayne woke up with a start. She lay there holding her breath, listening intently to the quiet. After a tense moment, she let out her breath, relaxed, and was just about to turn over when she heard a soft scratching noise. The next sound she heard had her sitting straight up in bed.
She was certain it was the click of the front door. She sat paralyzed with fear at the certainty that someone had just entered her apartment. She was equally certain it wasn’t her roommate.

Fantastic!
This is a wonderful story of intrigue, passion and turmoil. D. C. Cole did an exceptional great job narrating it. Lela and Jordan had a relationship that was hot and I kept wondering who would get burned. They both worked for the Alexander Ranch agency. The agency had workers that had special powers. It will bring out every emotions that you have. I wanted to choke someone, kiss them at times and just plain old holler at them. I might have a few times. LOL Loved it!

Fast Paced
I read this book first and totally enjoyed it, but I must say the D. C. Cole brings another whole dimension to the story and I loved the narration. This is the most recent installment in the Alexander Ranch series, and I certainly hope it is not the last. A good story with some interesting plot twists. Lela seems to be caught in an untenable position because of her gift, but Jordan finally shows some maturity and gets past his jealousy. Now, if they can only keep Lela alive. Fast paced and dramatic. Quite an enjoyable read.

I love this series! Never a dull moment for the Alexander’s. This one definitely kept me on my toes.

Exciting, Intriguing, and Sexy Mystery!
Wow, this series continues to be an exciting, intriguing, and sexy mystery! The fifth book in the Alexander Ranch series has a gripping case that takes them to New Orleans and back. When someone is trying to kill the daughter of a high profile lawyer, Lela and Alexander Securities are in a race against time to catch them before they hit their mark. Not only is Lela getting exhausted trying to keep up with these super sleuths, she is finding out her abilities are not always a gift. The love triangle between Lela, Jordan, and Shane heats up as well. I love how complex these characters are and how Ms. Josephs is allowing us to understand them even more in this story. The growth in Lela and Jordan's relationship feels very real and honest, completely endearing them to me. Lela's brother, Blake, plays a bigger role in this story, and he is a total delight. I definitely want more of him. I was so captivated by the role the whole team played and how they continue to work together so coherently. Ms. Josephs expertly wove intriguing clues, multiple plot twists, and even a few shocking revelations that kept me riveted and on the edge of my seat. That was only helped by DC Cole's performance, which absolutely blew me away. His characterizations, pace, and inflections had me gasping, and my heart racing! I am a fan of his narration, which only gets better, but to me, this amazing performance is his best work yet. Josephs and Cole make a great team! I love this thrilling series and I can't wait for more exciting adventures from Lela and Alexander Securities!

Faceless Fear
The Alexanders have landed another case and this time they are off to the big easy. Although the case actually starts in their own back door, the victim is followed on a business trip. Marla Josephs does a wonderful job making you feel like you are in New Orleans. With her wonderful descriptions of the area and the food you will want to plan a visit. Of course the bad guys in the story don't seem to want to enjoy the scenery. The story will have you on the edge of you seat with a nice plot twist near the end. Most of your favorite characters are present in the story so its like visiting friends and perhaps a few not so favorite characters. D.C. Cole does an amazing job with the narration and bringing the story to life.

kept me on my toes
so this is a new instalment in the Alexander ranch series and as all the rest, it doesnt disappoint. mystery, action and romance are all intertwined so that you just cant put it away. i absolutely love Jordan and Shane, so I was definitely on my toes as to how the story will go down, and i have a feeling this isnt over yet.
lela is one lucky woman and i seriously hope her fear of commitment doesnt hinder her relationship.
as for the narration, it was great, as one woudl expect from D.C.Cole.
all in all,this book is a fun read (listen, in my case) and i cannot wait for the next one

must listen
This is a must listen! A great mixture of fun, suspense, mystery, a tad paranormal and a good dose of hot romance. Could not guess how this story will unfold and kept me engaged throughout. Loved the characters, Jordan not so much at times, his protective streak is endearing but when it borders into possessive jealousy, it gets a bit annoying, no wonder Lela gets mad at times LOL Loved hearing that Blake and Daisy finally got together. Getting to hear the rest of the Alexander Ranch characters was awesome. A great addition to the series.
Mr. Cole does an awesome job yet again. The various characters get their own voices, he switches with ease between them and gives his distinctive touch. Thank you for another great listen!

Le Swoon...those hawt n sexy Alexanders..
If you read my reviews, you know that I’m pretty gaga over the Alexander series...and especially Jordan...my fave book boyfriend! This book revolves around the attempted kidnapping/killing of the daughter of an Alexander Agency Client. The team travels to New Orleans to investigate and protect. Meanwhile, all is bliss in the new relationship between Jordan & Lela...or is it? Is Shane doing more than training Lela...should Jordan be worried? There is also new love budding between Daisy and Lela’s brother, Blake...will Lela be ok with her brother and bff dating? As always, lots of action come with these Alexanders and this book is no different! Romantic suspense at its best...Healers, Drainers and Normals...can they all just get along?
The narrator does an excellent job portraying each character and you feel as if you’re a part of the story.
I look forward to Shane’s story...he needs a new love interest...lol

Love this series!
Great listen and a great continuation of the series, definitely listen in order for the most clarity but past events are explained well enough to follow if listened to out of order. Loved hearing more about Daisy and, of course, hearing more about Jordon and Lela. Lots of action and plenty of humor made this a very engrossing listen. D.C. Cole did an amazing job of bringing both the characters and the story to life with emotion and unique voices for each character. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Amazing Series and Amazing Story!
This is the fifth book in the Alexander Ranch Series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I strongly suggest to read in order this Series. I love this Series so much! In each book, there is a new investigation, that sits in different places. This time, we visit New Orleans and the scenery is beautifully described. This story is suspenseful and fast-paced. I love all characters in this Series, but Jordan is definitely my favorite. I love the ending. The narration was absolutely well done. DC Cole has done an amazing job with all the characters in the Series and all the voices are easy to distinguish. I absolutely enjoyed my listening. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series.
