About this listen

Welcome to Chipping Cheddar, where supernaturals are hidden in plain sight.

When a local artist disappears under mysterious circumstances, Chief Fox enlists my help to solve the case. An inspection of the artist's most recent paintings reveals there's magic at work, and I have to get in touch with my inner Rembrandt in order to access it. Meanwhile, life takes a sharp turn for frenemy Sassy Persimmons, and I find myself in the unexpected position of offering her comfort while offering my evil family a piece of my mind.

Can I locate the missing artist before it's too late, or will we both be out of the picture - permanently?

Every Picture Tells a Fury is the eighth book in the Federal Bureau of Magic cozy mystery series.

The narrator from the first seven was more to my liking. Her different speech patterns and accents were better.

Change in narrator

The storyline is interesting. I’m very disappointed with the narrator. The voice she’s using for Neville makes him sound like he has rod stuck up his bottom rather than a lovable geeky sidekick. She is an awful narrator. Annabelle Chase why did you choose this person to replace the original narrator who was head and shoulders this performer?

New Narrator Stinks!!!!

I’ve enjoyed all of the previous books in this series, but this new narrator has me wondering if I can continue listening. This narrator has no sense of cadence or rhythm, often emphasizing the wrong parts of sentences, which changes the meaning. What seemed like pretty smart writing in previous books now seems insipid or lame. This just reinforces the importance the narrator plays in audio books!
