About this listen
My whole life has been a lie.
Nobody truly knows me.
But I know myself, and I’m a coward.
Years ago when my heart shattered, I used the weakest adhesives to put it back together.
I can’t risk falling in love. My soul is too fragile.
Love isn’t guaranteed. It’s always a gamble. And I know, better than most, that it’s not worth the fall. The body can only withstand so many tragedies before it ceases to exist.
Only one person has made me want more.
Only one.
Yet I know it would break me to lose him, and he’d be impossible to recover from. The loss—devastating.
I have to stay away, but that in itself is impossible. He’s the one person I can’t distance myself from.
He’s my best friend.
I’ve convinced myself that settling for lukewarm affections is enough. It’s safe.
But what if I were brave enough for more?

Great Friends-To-Lovers Romance
I was as entertained by book six as I was with the other books in the series. I wasn't a fan of Cassie at first, but the more I learned about her, the more I liked her. I liked Asher from the first time that he was introduced in the series. Their story, which began while they were in college, went through many changes before they realized just what they meant to one another. There were some steamy scenes. I enjoyed Savannah Thomas' and Christian Leatherman's dual narrations as their performances enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

Forever linked ♥️
This is book 6 in the Beautiful Souls Collection and Cassie and Asher’s story was well worth every second of the wait.
From getting to know these two from the previous stories it was time they had their own.
Boy, did Cassie make Asher work to try and form any type of relationship with her.
Her past had closed her off to any true feelings and she really struggled with letting anyone that close again.
With Asher’s love and persistence slowly she started to open up and let love in.
A beautifully poignant story of how loss and an emotionless parent can destroy the way you act with others, always holding back and never being your true self.
This story was steamy, angsty, emotional at times, beautiful others but well worth the wait to see Cassie and Asher together.
An amazing end to the series, featuring all the characters from all of the other books to make it perfect.
The narrators of this audiobook Savannah Thomas and Christian Leatherman were perfection.
I always love listening to their voices.
Adding their voices to this beautiful story made it even more special.
