About this listen
Does love have a chance when no one knows she wants it?
Jinx Tanner is an ex-con trying to piece together a life on the outside and heal her relationship with her half-sister who hasn't spoken to her in over 25 years. Romantic love is nowhere on her radar. E. J. Bastien is a business executive with her life and heart under control. She has a successful career, a woman in her bed whenever she wants one, and a healthy relationship with her grown children - as long as they don't find out she's gay. She has no desire for romantic entanglements.
When these two women awaken after a one-night stand to find their lives inextricably entwined, love has its work cut out for it.

wow now this really was better then I thought
this grabbed me in a nice way. the writer the characters were all In line. it all played out so well I was felt sorry for jinx but she was the hero and stood on her ground. it was a happy ending now if all relationships were that intense wow.it was great

A great romantic read
This was a really nice romantic read and a sweet story - I'd give it a 4.5/5. The story follows older characters which is a bit atypical (one of the characters is 50+). I enjoyed the narration as it wasn't over the top and felt appropriate for the tone of the story. This book read as a very classic romance and while it isn't an "oh-my-god" or "best ever" story, it avoided too much cheese or nonsense that sometimes plays romance novels that I've returned. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to hear a story about second chances and finding love late in life.

This is a must listen / Read…
I found this book to be refreshing. It’s not that I don’t love the perfect lives that most characters in Saffic romances are. Jinx has a past but turned her life around and I enjoyed how relatable she is. Great book.

why did I wait so long to read this?
I had read somewhere that this was a good book but for some reason hesitated on purchasing it. I'm so glad I finally did. It was a very good story with great narration. some of it was a little shocking but that just added to the emotions involved. there were funny parts and sad parts and I was a little sad to hear the book end. jinx was an awesome character and there were times I felt she should just give up on this woman, but all things worked out well of course. definitely a good listen.

One of the best!
This is a terrific story. EJ and Jinx are very charismatic characters and their love story is complicated and incredibly satisfying. Highly recommended!

Great book
wasn't sure I liked the narration, but the story in its self was really good. I think the timing for the two sisters to talk came late in the game. but over all it was just right. I would recommend others to read this story themselves and I would hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.

How life is
The feeling of loss and trust and finding yourself.
This book was amazing bringing two life struggles together and finding how to live and love.
Both characters hiding secrets and both learning to share there fears and finding forgiveness and expectance.
This was a great book.
