Das unvollendete Bildnis: Hercule Poirot wird um Hilfe gebeten. Die Mutter von Carla Lemarchant wurde verurteilt, ihren Vater umgebracht zu haben. Doch Carla glaubt nicht daran. Poirot gelingt es, die Unschuld der Mutter zu beweisen und den Kreis der Verdächtigen enger zu ziehen.

Die Kleptomanin: Seltsame Diebstähle im Studentenwohnheim. Hercule Poirot wird zur Hilfe gerufen, und er entlarvt die Diebin schnell. Doch dann wird sie am nächsten Morgen tot aufgefunden. Da ist Poirots Kombinationsvermögen gefragt, denn neben dem Mord hat sich die Spur eines Schmugglerrings aufgetan.
