About this listen
He is cold and calculating, the master of a twisted game. Even with Vito and Sophie hot on his trail, he will not stop. One more empty grave must be filled, and one last scream must be heard, the scream of an archaeologist who is too close for comfort and too near to resist.

Story
There is a serial killer on the loose preying on vulnerable women. The only identifiable mark the killer leaves are letters - sometimes one, sometimes two - all carved into the torsos of his victims. Together, they spell “Sydney”. When he grabs Daisy Dawson, he believes he has found his next victim. But despite her small stature, she fights back with an expertise that quickly frees her. Before fleeing the scene, Daisy also manages to grab what proves to be crucial evidence: a necklace from around the killer’s neck.

Good but not Great
I read this one out of order. I read all the following books first. So this one was not as exciting, I guess because I knew who the bad guy was within the first couple of chapters. Overall it was a good Karen Rose book. I would have liked a little more romance.

Spectacular new find
Lucky enough to have a reviewer on a readers' loop whose sig line includes what she's listening to, Then later reviews it. She gave a ten out of ten for one of Karen Rose's suspense books, which is BIG for her. And when I asked, she told me she'd listened to it, and afterward took extra care in locking her doors. THAT is my kind of book. I didn't try that book, YET, because I read the recaps of them all, and this was the first. I'm now on the second, "I Can See You," and it's just as good if not better than the first. I LOVE the date/time stamps on every scene. Give such a creepy feeling of impending doom.
This is a great listen, and so is the second so far. By the time I'm done, I'm sure I'll have her entire audio list.
Excellent, excellent. And the reader MUST be great, because she's so good and her voice isn't intrusive, if that makes any sense. She has all of the accents down pat, all of the action down pat, and what makes her spectacular is she can make the villian sound SO normal and non-threatening when he has to be to lure in his victims.
New, happy fan.

Love cop romance
Great story. I got a little lost early and had to restart and almost decided i didn't like it. Decided to stay with and glad I did because it all came together. I will continue with rest of the series. Narrator was good .

Wonderful
This is a great series. The author Karen Rose has such a great talent. She makes you feel like part of the story, she pulls you in seeing it all. Her characters are alive and have such life to them. They have real problems, heartache, betrayal. secrets, longing, dysfunctional family, and strong loyalty. Romance and love. The side characters add so much to the story. I recommend them to all!! You don't have to read them in order but it gives insight to other characters and their stories. Can't say enough good about this series.

Wow!!
I chose to read Karen Rose's Cincinnati series because of the narrator. I had hit a funk and needed a good book and my favorite authors had nothing new out so I figured I'd listen to another one of the books in Karen's series. Well damn! I am just so glad I have stumbled onto this author. These books are graphic but so well put together. I was so entranced in getting to the end I listened to the last 8 hours in one day. The very end brought me to tears. This was a really good book. I'm moving on to the next book in the series. Happy Reading!!!

wow
This is the first Karen Rose for me, and as soon as I finished this one I immediately came back for more. I actually found this because I love listening to Tavia Gilbert and went in to find something she narrated. I will be back for more of Karen Rose, as well as more from Tavia.
