A Magical World of Mystery and Intrigue
Excellent story telling. This book draws you in immediately with a quick and deft series of emotional events- battle, death, grief, and potential rape for the protagonist, Jade. She is a great female character who develops and matures at many levels throughout the story. If I had read the hardcopy, definitely a well-written, fully formed page turner with lots of suspense and intrigue.
But...I listened to the audiobook and loved the lyrical quality of Kelly Wilkinson's narration. She is asked to experience an astounding variety of emotions and handles them with aplomb. Her main characters, male and female, are nuanced as she switches from person to person. She is the perfect choice for this book. Looking forward to listening to book two!

The tigress and the general
Dew on Ginkgo Leaves is a amazing story set in Ancient imperial china. Todd Shuler wrote a story that feels almost like ancient history. Kelly Wilkinson narration was excellent. The book draws you in immediately and makes you feel like you’re there. The detail in the world makes it almost reality. The story and the characters are well written. The story does have some triggers, like warfare, Attempted rape, death and carnage. There is a romantic story too. It has honor, glory, fearlessness, sorrow, betrayal, Overcoming hardship, and Protecting one nation. It’s a good book all around. I would recommend it to friends. Hope there’s a book two. I did get the book for free for a honest review.
