About this listen
Who would dare unlock the secret of Deadwater House?
The rumour had cast a shadow over the village for as long as anyone could remember. Who was the ghostly child that watched from the window of the Denham-Granger mansion? The truth would turn out to be far worse than any of the locals could ever have imagined. Whatever had been caged for so long wanted revenge and now it was hunting its prey down. Only one person stood in the way, reluctant local policeman, Gordon Chisholme. Soon he would have to face the truth. It had already turned its attention to him, and he could feel its icy grip reaching out for the next victim.
Deadwater, a classic atmospheric horror story with a shockingly dark twist.
For anyone that likes a gripping novel, this is a must read. From the first page, the author draws you in to this idyllic location that holds a dark secret. It is one of those books that you find impossible to put down.
One of the best books I have read in a long time. I felt a personal affiliation with the characters. Rooting for them to do well or in a few cases, rooting for their demise.
Deadwater pulls the reader into the story with such ease that you cannot wait to turn the next page.
I absolutely got hooked on this story. From the start, I was drawn into the village and its secrets. So many unexpected twists had me turning page after page.
Such realistic Characters. A great book, highly recommended.
