About this listen
Some scars hide dark secrets.
Who are you? Hamburg criminal psychologist Dr. Evelin Wolf ponders, as she examines the mentally disturbed homeless man with the conspicuous scar on his face. The extremely aggressive man with no memory and no identity is said to have committed a brutal murder. But Evelin and Assistant District Attorney Alex Gutenberg doubt his guilt and suspect that there is much more to the supposedly crystal-clear case.
Shortly afterwards, Hamburg is shaken by a series of murders that are unsurpassed in their cruelty and sadism. The perverse killer leaves a bloody trail across the Hanseatic city and links it to a clear message for Alex and Evelin: revenge.
Alex and Evelin work feverishly to solve both cases. In the process, they make a fatal mistake. And the killer exploits this mercilessly...

Great second book!!!
This was a great suspense crime book. I love to how the relationship of the characters built and grew as my relationship to the characters grew also. I will definitely be buying all the books in the series and can’t wait for them to come out. I would highly recommend anybody who likes a good crime thriller to read the series.

Engaging story
I liked the alternating voices of the two main characters. The supporting character of Bolson was a bit one dimensional and an over simplified. I liked how the plot took you to unexpected places and gave you a feel for where events were taking place.
