About this listen

A frank and free-flowing discussion with one of the Caribbean’s most recognizable political figures, Dame Mary Eugenia Charles of Dominica. What was certainly my most compelling media moment is now a treasure to the world of political leadership, and a welcome addition to Dominica’s political history. Read through the text as you listen to the commanding voice of the Dame in this last full-length interview with the Caribbean’s Iron Lady. This is the last official interview featuring the first female Prime Minister of the Caribbean.

This book needs to be in as many libraries as possible. It's a testament to Dominica's political history. I love the fact that it features the Dame in her own voice. This makes it much more interesting. She was candid in her answers and clear on her politics. The reader/listener doesn't have to agree with her but this is a rare glimpse into the mind of a politician who I doubt would be as open if she were in office today. I guess being retired at the time of this interview afforded her the luxury of not caring about backlash, still it's refreshing to hear her voice so long after she's gone.

Thanks Alex Bruno, keep up the good work.
