It’s a duke of a great listen

Love M/C. And this is book 1 in the Creed MC Series. The story is well written and the author put a lot of thought in the storyline and will have you on the edge of your seat throughout with the twist and turn. You will be wondering What is next on the edge of your seat till the end
Hero is Duke. Heroine is Shanna . They both come from M/C families.
Shana M/C family treated her like a princsss but always looked after , the men always put her in a cage as she thought of it . No fun at all. Liked how the author kept the storyline real with her live, I do think the females would be looked after , from other M/C or non M/C men .
Dukes father was the Co founder of the Creed M/C . Duke saw how life was at the club and he doesn’t want anything to do with it . Duke decides to join the marines to get away from that life. Now that he’s retired he needs to decide what’s next . While in town he decides to go to the bar his dad use to visit . Once he’s inside the bar and takes one look at the bartender (who is Shanna ) he knows he’s a goner .
That one look at both their parts changed their lives forever . Grab it and see how they manage it
Rodney Falcon nailed this story . . The M/C words came alive . His voice is strong , clear and smooth

This is one twisty ride! I loved it!

This is such a twisty twirly, heart pounding, crazy ride! I really enjoyed this! The story...the characters....everything! I was able to easily become invested In These characters (all of them not just the two main ones). They brought me joy, sorrow and heartbreak. I was very pleased with them to the fulfilling end! This story had me going from highs to lows...to “don’t you dare do that (Insert Duke Or Shanna here)” with a smack on the head. Then I would probably run away because..you know Duke is a BA.

This is my first book by this author and I cannot wait to start the next in the series (tomorrow :-)). The story flowed nicely and easily kept my interest as well as entertained me. The characters had a lot of growth and it was nice to see where they ended up. I could easily feel the affection Duke had for Shanna.
I listened to this on audio and Rodney Falcon was the narrator. He is easily becoming a favorite for MC books.

Great story, horrible narration.

I REALLY LOVED THE STORY. But I have never disliked a narrators voice so much in my life. Usually, when I hear a narrator that I don’t connect with, I’ll just find another book. For some reason though, I really, really loved this story. So much so, that I couldn’t just skip to a better narrated book.

This narrator had absolutely no emotion while reading. He put no effort into the characters. When the book clearly said a character was yelling, he sounded the same as when the book said the character was whispering. All the characters had the same “voice”. Maybe I’m used to books with two narrators but even those narrators use different voices, different inflictions in their tone etc. This narrator just read. Like a child would read. No emotion, no interest, just BLAH. The more I think about it, the more frustrated I’m getting. I can’t imagine anyone could enjoy the way he read this book. Too bad. It’s actually a great story.

Duke

First of all I'd like to compliment the author on the choice of his book cover. Perfect for Duke!
I enjoyed listening to this audible from the beginning to end. Duke is the kind of man ant woman would love to have in her life. He is honorable and loving. Best of all he wants to do everything right by the woman he loves.

Loved the sexy narration by Rodney Falcon, his voice is perfect for this book.

Exciting Romance with Great Characters

Duke and Shanna are fantastic apart but they're even better together. The adventure is long but worth it. The writing is great and the characters well done.

Meh.

Okay, this book was so slow and not much action or alpha male saving the woman. I will listen to the next in the series, but if the author doesn't get better with the next book. I will not listen to Jax's books again.

DUKE: CREED MC

Just finished listening to this and it was pretty good. It has a solid love story, some angst, and a little bit of tension, but more than anything it really focused on the relationship between the two main characters which is definitely not all sunshine and roses. I liked the narrator's voice alot, my only complaint being that he didn't really switch up his voice between the main characters when they weren't physically speaking so if they were having thoughts, etc it was easy to lose just which character it was. Other than that he was great. I would like to hear him in other novels. overall, a pretty good read. I received this book for free at my request and am leaving this honest review.

An adventure like a rollercoaster ride!

This was definitely a great listen!! Just a heads up.. you WILL become an insta-fan for the author AND narrator!! The tug of war between "Blackbird" & "Handsome Devil" will make your heart sing and burn all at once.

Fantastic partnership between Author and Narrator

This is a great combination been a great Author Jax Hart and Narrator Rodney Falcon. Hearing the story through his voice made you just want to not stop listening.
After returning to his home town a Duke steps foot in Stan’s a bar owned by Shanna. The moment he saw her, he knew he had to have her. The personal obstacles that Duke and Shanna have to go through to see if they get their happy ending keeps you turning the pages of this book. I highly recommend this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good Enough Story

After leaving behind his family drama and serving in the Marines for a couple decades, Duke returns home for a funeral, stopping in a local MC bar. He finds Shanna bartending and even though she is maybe 11 years or so younger, he falls hard. And age is not the only problem. His father and her father broke their friendship over a woman years ago. Like Hillbilly family dynamics. And Shanna wants absolutely nothing to do with the MC she was raised in. She is loved by all the members but she just wants out and a normal life so when Duke has to reconnect with the club, she wants away from him.
But like most MC Romances, they come together with sparks and heat and an HEA
I hate to say it but the writing seemed weak, but the concept is good; setting up great scenes and interactions you can't guess.

Narration tone was good. I love Rodney’s voice and he read Duke with good interpretation and feeling. I was disappointed with his voice for Shanna because it held no emotions and felt flat. But good enough to not deter from the book.
