This experience highlights why choosing an audiobook on the go is not a good idea. First, it turns out to be a 4-hour slide presentation, and unfortunately, the audiobook doesn't come with a PDF. Luckily, the Kindle version was inexpensive, so I bought it to understand the content better. The virtual voice was OK but often felt flat when the text was bordering on manic.
However, the book is not focused on DNA research in the way I expected based on the blurbs. While it does discuss the evolution of haplogroups, the main argument seems to be that we are the mutated remnants of a race that left Earth around 5,000 years ago after a nuclear war. To add to the outlandish nature of his claims, the author suggests there was another war before that one, which triggered the Younger Dryas, and he posits that the Pleistocene races were responsible for creating dinosaurs and other strange creatures through gene editing.
Although the haplogroup information may be interesting, you could likely find quicker and better information through a simple Google search than by pulling it from this book.
