Good Dark Story, Horrible Female Narration
The story was good. It was dark and not as romantic as I thought it would be. The male narration for all the male characters was good but the female narration was horrible. That robotic tone almost ruins the story. The only time the female narration was good was when she spoke with an accent. He voice made me imagine the female MC was one of those robotic AI dolls and not a real human.

Dark! Very Dark!
This is the first book in the Beautiful Monster Series, a Dark Romance. This story is intense, and dark! Daniela’s story is heartbreaking. She is extremely strong, and resilient. She is caught up between two twisted men. Dante is dark, broken, revengeful, and enigmatic. Vincent is ruthless, and brutal. The storyline is enthralling, and intricate, filled with violence, darkness, and twists and turns. This story is not for the faint-hearted. Bree Elaine and Patrick Morgan did an interesting and captivating reading of the story. Looking forward to listen to Refrain, Espi and Chloe's story, the next book in the Series. Lana Sky is definitely one of my favorite Dark and Twisted Romance Books Authors.

For honest Review . Wow fantastic writing 10 stars . this is a very dark romance but you will just fall in love with these characters . Daniela has been Vincent toy he has tortured since young now she has a way to get back at him after being kidnapped by a rival mob that's if she can survive them . if you don't like violence this is not your book then.

Story is worth overcoming the narration
This is a dark, twisted story and it is full of suspense and action. The female narration had me hesitant at first, but I’m glad I spent the credit. Increase the speed to 1.2x and get thru the first couple chapters. The narration gets better and the story will suck you in.

Book 1 - Beautiful Monsters
This is book 1 in Sky's Beautiful Monster's series and focus' on Daniela and Dante. Both are victims, it's obvious but carry it completely differently - and both find an addiction like no other in each other. A VERY dark read / listen with triggers. Erotic, bloody, and addictive. At time this book read/sounded like a dark poem with so much symbolism. Twists and turns where everyone is out for blood and power. While well written with a smooth flowing and captivating storyline; I was on the fence about the female narrator, there were times I almost felt lulled and not able to focus on the story, while in contrast the male narrator with his tone and pitch changes as well as accents made him and his voice very captivating...the deep rasp of Dante's voice was at time chilling as I felt he could have been whispering right behind me - an epic job for certain! While this book does leave you with a definite ending and you could stop here - it also leaves it open to where you want to know what's in store now for these two...looking forward to book 2 - Refrain!

Love This Book!!!!
Can't wait for book 2....so I understand why some say the narration isn't any good. I found a solution by bumping the speed to 1.6 and it was perfect!!! the story is sooo good and worth the listen!!! Give the book a chance. this is one of my favorite authors and I can't NOT listen to her books!!! when i don't care for a narrator I find a solution :)

Fantastic story
Definitely a hard hitting dark story. If you have triggers stay away from the story. I loved every moment of it and I can’t wait to listen to the next half. Narrators did a good job and brought the story out more.

Intense, Stunning & Brutally Dark
Intense, stunning and brutally dark are the first things that come to mind when I think about this book. It is absolutely not for all readers. If triggers are a concern or you can't open your arms wide to wholeheartedly embrace the darkness, then this book/duet is not what you are looking for. I'll be honest, even if you love dark romance this one could be a challenge. It is gritty and raw and has an edge that is as sharp as a razor. Dante and Daniela make a complex and complicated couple that even after finishing this book I'm not sure how I feel about. I will definitely be checking out book two though because even if this wasn't a comfy read it was compelling. Dual narration here, which is always a big plus for me and I thought the performance was very well done.

My ears are bleeding!!!!!
Female narrator, really audible!!!!!! Such a disservice to the Authors and listeners!!
