About this listen

When Sybella accompanies the duchess to France, she expects trouble, but she isn’t expecting a deadly trap. Surrounded by enemies both known and unknown, Sybella searches for the undercover assassins from the convent of St. Mortain who were placed in the French court years ago.

Genevieve has been undercover for so many years, she no longer knows who she is or for what she’s supposed to be fighting. When she discovers a hidden prisoner who may be of importance, she takes matters into her own hands.

As these two worlds collide, the fate of the duchess, Brittany, and everything Sybella and Genevieve have come to love hangs in the balance.

I was excited to read this since Sybella was my favorite from the other series. I found Gen to be a bit frustrating at first but really she was just doing the best she could with a sh!t situation. You don’t get much more romance between Sybella and Beast unfortunately. The last hour had tons of action though! Excited to read the next book.

Sybella is amazing and such a dynamic character. I really enjoyed her continued storyline. Genevieve’s story was awesome, but I hated her as a character. She’s so rude and selfish so I had a really hard time caring about her. Hoping she’s not in the next one.

Great story, bad character

Excellent book...cant wait for the next!

Filled with intrigue, mystery, suspense, drama, action, and romance. A sheer delight made even more interesting with two points of view.

Amazing!

I love being back in the his fair assassins world with the followers of Saint Mortain (#StillteamDeath). I very much enjoyed both Sybella and Genevieve stories.
Sybella protecting her beloved Douches of Brittney ... her sisters and her love Beast. Amidst the treachery of the french court.
Genevieve had her own trist with the mysterious Maraud, the prisoner she'd rescued from the dungeon who had purposely left there to die. I have to say when I got to the end I would like what! It ended a bit abruptly and now I cannot wait for the next story. All and all a good fast paced read.
Seriously love me some assassin nuns.

Back to the word of Saint Mortain.

And the adventures continue you continue to love and despise the characters - can’t stop listening

Excellent story

I love the “his fair assassin” books. Annith and Isme being my favorites and Sybellas my least. Some of the reason I disliked this book might have been that only half the time we are following a new character and half we are back with Sybella. Nothing really happens in this book except that both main characters whine a lot about their fate and make poor decisions. There is very little romance either. Just when I thought it was getting interesting the book ended and left so many unanswered questions and plot lines for the next book.

Very disappointed

Grave Mercy is on my favorites shelf. I struggled to finish this. Hundreds of pages/five hours could have been eliminated.
Both mc's got on my nerves, most especially Genevieve.

The narrators didn't help the cause. Thank technology for variable speed playback.

Doesn't live up to the trilogy...
