We can not raise a happy child if we are constantly screaming threats at them. No parent sets out to hurt their child, but this type of parenting does just that. To raise a happy child that wants to behave, you need to retrain yourself first. You need to change the way you think and react to their behavior. You need to understand your triggers and heal yourself. Only then you can begin to heal your relationship with your children.

Informative and Helpful!
It can be challenging to get teenagers to open up as most of them don’t want to talk to grown-up. As a teacher, I find the book informative and helpful to give hints and guide on instructing parents and carers to start a conversation with teens. This hopefully will help improve the more robust relationship with teenagers as it will help understand them better.

Don't text your teenagers - have a conversation!
It's more difficult that ever for parents and teens to communicate. I like to refer to teenagers as "screenagers" because their entire social life revolves around their devices and face-to-face conversations are a skill they aren't learning - heightened by social distancing and lockdowns. This book is a great tool for parents struggling to open up meaningful dialog with their kids. Great conversation starters that you can use of adapt to you particular situation. Don't text your kids when they're in an adjoining room - knock on the door and have a conversation instead! Invaluable.
