About this listen

Many people have either been told or read that fibromyalgia (FM) isn't real, or it is just all in their heads. This misunderstanding, unfortunately, causes harm and is a disservice to those suffering. If you are one of the estimated four million people in the United States who are suffering from FM, then you know it is real. If you don't have FM, you will, at a minimum, gain a deeper understanding of what you or your loved one is experiencing.

If you do have FM, you will feel validated for what you have had to endure. You also will receive actionable steps you can take to thrive, not just survive with FM and its related disorders. You will also learn practical and realistic strategies for conquering your FM from Dr. Michael Lenz.

Dr. Michael Lenz is a practicing physician in Waukesha county, Wisconsin. He is board-certified in pediatrics and internal medicine. I think the author just took a bunch of his podcasts and put them together and called it a book. Listen to his podcast. I don't see any reason to buy this "book"

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a couple of years ago and it was treated as a throwaway diagnosis so I've been trying to learn more ever since and this book had some REALLY illuminating content that taught me a lot and explained some aspects of my life experience. It was really helpful. That said, WOW nobody edited the audio recordings. On several occasions, you can hear the author becoming frustrated with himself, snapping his fingers to mark the editing spots, and then rereading the sentence. It was rough to listen to in that sense. Plus, the quizzes would've been nice to take but I usually listen while driving so I couldn't. Go with the written version.

Somebody should've edited the audiobook

I think this book is worthy of purchasing, but to listen to it is painful. Absolutely the most mono tone computer voice. I couldn't do it. plus, there are quizzes to help access your fibromyalgia, and you can't take them wothout the book. They wouldn't allow a return either. Money wasted. Buy the physical book.

Painful to Hear- Buy the Book!!

If you been struggling with undiagnosed / unexplainable fatigue, pain, restless legs, brain fog, this book may be for you. This book helped me understand I was not alone in being misdiagnosed for many years, understand my symptoms better and most importantly seek help and treatment. The book takes a wholistic approach including sleep hygiene, nutrition, exercise and possible meds.

Life changing for me…
