Top shelf 🤩
Definitely appreciate the Christian commentary, the eschatological hints on the coming mark of the beast/NSL crisis, and Bible reference chain making this truly a must have for Bible students. The emphasis on character and morals vs. the “win at all cost” or “step on other n****s heads to get to the top” mentality is just what is needed. I can list 100 other reasons to buy/listen buy if you’re sensitive to the Holly Spirit, this book will be a game-changer

Great Listens Come in Short Packages
I don’t usually listen to audiobooks that have more than a dash of a Christian focus. This one does a great job of not being overbearing while incorporating some biblical references to support Coach Wooden’s life lessons. Well worth the quick listen.

They Call Him "Coach"!
As a student athlete back in the 70's when Coach Wooden was at his peak, I had the pleasure to play against Coach Wooden's teams and watch far across the court as he masterfully coached his teams to excellence.
He had such a knack for communicating to his teams what he expected on and off the court.
I have befriended several UCLA coached players from that era, and every single one of them have nothing but glowing praises to heap upon the man they all call "Coach".
This is an excellent book, not only about basketball, but more importantly about Life!

This is a Christian book, and I enjoyed it
I have been meaning to listen to the available books by John Wooden, and this is my first one, I really liked it a lot and I even liked the stories of the co-author. If you get this book and find yourself, turned off by the Christian message, just be patient and see if you can get to the end. Coach Wooden‘s thoughts about tolerance while still allowing for disagreement and never letting those disagreements get in the way of relationships are some of the most salient points for our current moment. I’m looking forward to Coach Wooden’s other books.
