About this listen

After laboring for decades in the mines of Skálavík, Viggo is lured by the promise of great riches, and joins his jarl's sea quest. But the daring adventure is doomed, the longship destroyed in a terrible storm. He awakes to find himself robbed of his sight, and his liberty. Signy knows what it is to suffer alone. The last thing she seeks is a man—even if the future of the island depends upon compliance. Thrown together, the two form an alliance. Viggo will impregnate her, in return for a promise that she'll help him end his misery. But when the time comes, can Signy oblige the handsome stranger? Or will the gentle maid whose touch inflames him guide Viggo to the light? Love could be their salvation, or a source of pain neither will survive.

The Perfect Pairing!

The more I read of this series, the happier I am with it!
This particular story has left me wishing it had gone on and on because it gave me such enjoyment and pleasure.
Viggo and Signy made a great pair and the way they went about achieving their happy ever after was just perfect..
And then we have the absolutely superb narration with wonderful voice acting and sound effects which helped make this an absorbing and fabulous audiobook to listen to.
I have just finished a copy of this very satisfying audio and am happy to leave my voluntary review.

A raw, emotional and ominous Viking romance!

In this edition in the Bound and Betrothed saga, Viggo is a very different character. A head injury when his Viking ship wrecked leaves him blind; feeling worthless and suicidal. Viggo struggles but Signy is such a sweet and patient partner for him. The story is very steamy, in a raw and crude Viking manner and I love the role reversals where the women are in charge and are using the men sexually to get babies. The books in this series all have an undercurrent that slowly reveals new insights into the mysterious and maybe supernatural events on the island and it is tantalizing to pick up the omens and ominous clues along the way. I loved the slow transition Viggo makes to accept his disability and take some role in Signy's life and future. Signy's mother Ulva is a great mean mother and there are lots of other personalities on the island that are well developed. Gareth does a great job narrating the tale; his gravelly voice makes you feel the tension and the Viking spirit.
The ending was satisfying and I cannot wait for the next story to add more pieces to the puzzle and more steamy relationships to the plot.

Exciting viking romance!

Claimed by the Viking, an Audiobook by Anna Quinn and Felicity Brandon is the captivating story of Viggo and Signy. He is the fourth of the six men shipwrecked on their island. But, he has been cursed…lacking something vital to his survival. Now, he depends on her for nearly everything. In return, he has agreed to provide her with what she requires. An odd situation indeed!

I adored this story!!! Two individuals with their own type of innocence…are placed together. Both have to learn…both have to trust…both have to grow…touching, sweet, steamy, and gripping!!! Loved Viggo and Signy!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Gareth J Davies who does an admiral job with the story! He performs both the male and female parts in the reading and brings across the feelings and depth of the characters. Good job!

Viggo and Signy

Viggo and Signy both had a very difficult life so far. Viggo is somber, suffering from depression. Despite her cruel upbringing Signy is sweet and very kind. During their time together their feelings grow but it is towards the end of the book where Signy finally stands up against her cruel mother, and Viggo finally realizes he does have something precious to live for.
The narrator brings both characters to life and does a great job telling their story. The story is well written, and it was a pleasure listening to the performance. I do recommend reading/listening this series in order.

Pure of heart - is her love enough?

I am absolutely loving this Bound and Betrothed series.
In this story, Book 4, we follow Signy and Viggo’s journey on the Island of Hoy.
Signy, a maiden and never betrothed has been charged with looking after Viggo, who whilst his body is unharmed by the shipwreck his sight has been effected and he is bitter and subdued.
Can Signy break through Viggo’s torment and show him that he is loved and not worthless as he believes he is.
Or will he destroy all that they have slowly been building together?
A spicy at times story of two damaged souls coming together to find happiness whilst someone is trying desperately to break them apart.
Another fantastic story with wonderful characters of a series that I’m thoroughly enjoying.
Looking forward to reading all about the next couple and the ongoing sagas on the island.

I had the pleasure of listening to this audiobook and always enjoy Gareth J Davies narration.
I enjoy his voice and the background noises added in places in the storyline.

Viking #4

Viggo is one of the six Vikings to land on an island filled with women. He is blinded in the accident and must rely on Signy. A steamy story filled will questions that remain to be answered. Each book is beautifully narrated with great effort to change the voices during the narrative. I can't wait for #5&6 as the mysteries surrounding the island are a constant draw.
