Return to Dartmoor
This story takes us back to Dartmoor and Baskerville Hall ten years after the original story takes place but it is not the return of the Hound that brings Holmes back for a return visit. It does however have all the characters from the original, building on their lives and introducing a new mystery for Holmes and crew.
It was interesting to return to Dartmoor with this short story but once again, I find that the short stories in this series are less entertaining than the full length novels.

And ten years later...
It's Christmas time, and they are all invited to spend it at Baskerville Hall, invited by Sir Henry and his wife, Beryl. What could go wrong?
Yes, you guessed it right: everything /0\ Murders, anonymous letters and a cave-in in the mine are all part of this less-than-peaceful holiday :P
A great adventure with some lovely lighter moments. I mean, c'mon! you only have to see Becky's letter to Santa *dies laughing*
A quick, charming read ♥

Enjoyable Christmas story
Christmas at Baskerville Hall is book #15 in the Sherlock and Lucy Mystery series by Charles Veley and Anna Elliott.
This was an entertaining story. I’ve read several of the books, but this was my first time listening to one and I really enjoyed it. A holiday getaway with murder and an incident that puts lives in jeopardy. Lucy and Sherlock need to solve the mystery in order to have a Merry Christmas.
The narration was easy to listen to and I didn’t have any trouble differentiating between characters.
I received an free copy of this audiobook and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Christmas at Baskerville Hall
I loved this so much. Sherlock and Watson are back at Baskerville and they bring their friends and family for Christmas. but it isn't relaxing as there's another murder and the gang has to solve it. I loved the mystery like always and how each part of the group has something to give.

Nice homage to the Baskerville Legend
I must admit this is the first time I have listened to any entry in the Sherlock Holmes/ Lucy James series. Being a conservative traditionalist regarding all things Sherlock, the thought of the great detective not only having a daughter but also sharing his life's work with, was not a pleasant one to me. However, the allure of Baskerville Hall at Christmas was too great to ignore, so I plunged in.
The storyline was rather thin, but it did give the authors a framework on which to re-introduce some of the characters made famous in the original "Hound." At any rate it was interesting to find out how Dr. Mortimer, Laura Lyons and Sir Henry have fared.
I was disappointed that the expected Victorian country Christmas, in an ancient manor house, as promised by the book's title, was more or less glossed over as an afterthought. Sadly, It was an opportunity lost.
The narration was good, with Simon Prebble displaying his usual top-shelf work. Wendy Tremont King was good, but not extra-ordinary.

A narrator who can't manage an English accent???
Fairly interesting plot, though no stunner. Simon Prebble was excellent, as always, but Wendy King was abysmal. Couldn't pull off an English accent if her life depended on it. Can't imagine who thought she'd be a good fit for this thoroughly English tale, regardless of the inclusion of an American character or two.
