To follow any kind of leader is an intrinsically fascist concept—introduced to us by religions and conditioning. People want to be free, yet they are looking for a leader to provide that freedom, keeping themselves bound in a subtle slavery. Osho encourages us to have the guts to create our own path. To walk it and create it at the same time. This talk is a deep analysis of the human mind, its conditioning and the understanding needed to be free from the obstacles preventing its freedom.

Responsibility is a scary subject for many. It is often perceived to be a burden. "Problems are there, but problems come from within you and then they are projected on other people." Osho lays out a different way of understanding and behavior which will result in a totally different kind of life.

Communication as such is difficult. Of course, it is more difficult between lovers. But first you have to understand the general difficulty of communication. Each mind has been conditioned by different parents, different teachers, different priests, and different politicians. It is a different world in itself. And when two minds try to communicate, as far as the ordinary mundane things are concerned, there is no difficulty. He says only man can be bored; no other animal has the capacity. Boredom is a by-product of intelligence, and nothing is wrong with boredom. The world needs workaholics; it needs people to function like machines. The majority of the population has always been poor, their survival dependent on their capacity to be productive. They have been taught to work and to work hard to produce more, and the rich become even richer. Society has lived under this insanity. The state of letting go, of being deeply relaxed is generally called laziness. Although it goes against a workaholic society, it is a basic requirement for sanity.

Most people know of hypnosis from entertainment; often in a negative context of being "hypnotized" to do things they would not do on their own. Lately hypnosis is being used in therapy with a much more positive connotation. Osho puts hypnosis in a different context, describing it as an art, and explains, in this talk mixed with his well-known humor, how hypnosis can benefit all of us.
