Bald entdecken die beiden Hinweise darauf, dass der Tote Arnold Pettifer das exzentrische Genie hinter dem berühmten Gin war - und dass es eine Menge Leute mit einem Mordmotiv gibt...

Jedes Jahr öffnet Lady Repton ihr großes Anwesen, um das "Cherringfest" zu veranstalten - das beliebteste Musikfestival der Cotswolds. Und dieses Jahr wird besonders: Nicht nur die Rückkehr der legendären und berüchtigten Hard-Rockband "Lizzard" steht auf dem Programm, sondern auch das Heimdebüt der jungen und überaus erfolgreichen neuen Gruppe "Unlost". Aber was ein Sommerwochenende mit fantastischer Musik, Essen und Spaß für alle sein sollte, kippt ins Bedrohliche, als einer der Musiker fast getötet wird.
