About this listen

Claire and Jude Sinclair have been living the perfect life for the last 10 years.

Blissfully in love, professionally successful, happily married...they have everything they want - except a baby to make their family complete.

On the eve of the birth of the baby they're planning to adopt, Jude gets traded to another hockey team in another state, and their thoughtfully planned-out road to parenthood hits a speed bump.

But they didn't survive all the turmoil of their pasts to get knocked out now. This is their game seven, and they won't accept anything less than a win for the family they're destined to have.

I really enjoyed coming back and getting more of Jude and Claire. This one is best read after at least the first book in the series but you will get a few little spoilers about Jude's brothers as well in this one. This story picks up 10 years after we met Jude and Claire and watched them fall in love. They are now ready for the next stage and to have kids but that has not gone the easy way. They are dealing with infertility issues and trying to figure out the right way for them to have kids as fertility treatment has not been successful for them as of yet. There are lots of emotions within that for them both. Things fell into place for them with the situation they found with the baby they are getting ready to adopt. On the eve of that though, Jude is being traded which means moving and all around the time of the baby being born. I love how solid their relationship is and how it allows them to support and lean on each other through it all. This was a great bonus read since I really loved these two and I was very happy to get more of them. I also loved the bits and pieces with their families and playing catch up with them as well. Great little novella.
The narrators did a great job with the story and bringing it to life.

Nothing much happens. If this were a chapter at the end of the original book, it would be fine. As it is, it’s a disappointing book where nothing surprising happens. The characters are OK but they don’t do much other than talk.

This is a chapter, not a book
