About this listen

When Kaiden Hart, the captain of the Charleston Coyotes hockey team, comes to my aid in an emergency, it's the first time I've seen him since I was a young girl. And boy, have the years been kind to him.

When he invites me out to dinner, accepting seems like the polite thing to do. At least that's what I tell myself.

How else can I justify wanting to be near my older sister's ex-boyfriend? It couldn't have anything to do with his piercing blue eyes and kissable lips. Who cares if he's got chiseled abs and a rear end I could bounce a quarter off of?

It's definitely not how protective he is toward me. Or how thoughtful he is offering me his spare room when I need a temporary place to stay.

I know I should refuse. Really, I should run in the opposite direction. But it's too late. I'm already falling for him.

Now, all I can think about is catching the captain.

Contains mature themes.

When you know, you know!

When you know, you know!

Kaiden Hart is the center and captain of Charleston Coyotes.
He's one of the oldest players on the team, and he is very protective of those he cares about.
When he witnesses a girl almost get run over, he comes to her aid.

Aurora Russo prefers to be called Rori.
She hasn't been in a relationship since the last guy cheated on her.
When Kaden comes to her rescue, she realizes it's the guy her older sister dated in college.
She was ten at the time, but now she's all grown up.

As spark ignite between them, it is hard to deny their attraction to each other.
Then, when Rori's ex and her best friend's brother has to move back in with them, she doesn't want to deal with him, so Kaden offers to have her move in with him.

We get to see their relationship grow into something beautiful.
One of my favorite lines is,
“You’re amazing. How are you not married already?”
“I guess I was waiting for the right woman to come along.”
I wink at her.
“Or for her to grow up.” She titters, playfully punching my arm.
“I think you’re right.”
In fact, I know she’s right.
Although our relationship is new, it’s flowing so smoothly, like riding along a lazy river and never wanting it to end.

I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I enjoyed the narrator voices on this book.

They made the story come to life.
