When small town seamstress, Pennie Pleat, tries her hand at knitting, she finds herself plunged into a community of secrets and deceit.

Her knitted scarf is coming to life when she discovers the body of the former Knitting Digest editor murdered with a knitting needle plunged into her neck, and Pennie and her dog Max are caught up in another murder.

Investigating the victim’s tangled relationships, Pennie discovers bitter feuds over stolen designs, an affair with a friend’s husband, dubious involvement in a past death, and bullying that provide numerous motives for murder.

Lies and half-truths keep Pennie circling the investigation. Then, when her shop is vandalized and she is threatened, she knows she is closing in on the murder.

Pennie should know better than to corner a murderer, but she does it anyway. Now she must figure out how to escape with her life.
