About this listen

As Holmesians are aware, the literary works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are referred to as the Canon of the Sacred Writings. The title of this collection of short stories reflects my desire to belong to the extensive list of authors and fans that want to grow the literary and entertainment history of Sherlock Holmes. In the five short stories, listeners will note Holmes' continued mastery of forensic science and logical reasoning as the cornerstones of resolving the thorny issues presented. Holmes' analysis and deductions are the centerpieces of the stories that form this collection. I hope you enjoy your time with Sherlock.

I enjoyed these collection of very short stories, all of them true to the Canon's style. Worthy of your time :D

I love seeing writers who try to return to Baker Street. Successful efforts are a joy and a delight. This one was only partially successful.

First, out of five tales, Holmes is only in three. And Watson is largely absent in one of the three. As stories, they were okay, but they didn’t evoke the feel of the Canon.

The reader did a pretty good job on the whole, but I have to ding him for misread and mispronounced words. Especially in so short an audiobook, they are that much more noticeable.

I get that very few people have the natural vocabulary to read texts like this without help, but dictionaries were invented centuries ago. Look up any word you haven’t personally heard spoken by a reliable and accurate source.

Missed the mark a bit

What they call the first 'story', is about a guy who met ACD, nothing remotely Sherlock about it. The rest made Sherlock and Watson sound incredibly stupid. The narrator was not good for me. His voices and intonations grated on my nerves. It took 3 tries to get through these stories.
