 Canne al vento (1913) è il romanzo più celebre di Grazia Deledda, scrittrice nuorese, unico Nobel femminile nella storia della letteratura italiana (1926).

Ambientato in un paese vicino a Nuoro, Galte (Galtellì), il romanzo narra la storia di Efix, un "servo" contadino al servizio di tre sorelle nobili impoverite della famiglia Pintor. Efix si muove sullo sfondo di una natura potente ed esuberante e nell'atmosfera claustrofobica e stantia di casa Pintor. È lui che mantiene le tre sorelle, col duro lavoro nel piccolo podere rimasto alla famiglia. È lui che cerca di pacificare gli animi quando l'arrivo del giovane Giacinto, nipote delle tre dame, porterà turbamento e scompiglio, sconvolgendo la vita immobile delle sorelle.
