About this listen
An ironic, tragic insight into the demise of the nuclear family?
Or the confused ramblings of a pissed 30-something?
© Helen Fielding; (P) Macmillan Publishers LtdCritic reviews
"Wild comedy....observed with merciless, flamboyant wit. A gloriously funny book." (Sunday Times)
"I cannot recommend a book more joyfully....Hilariously funny, miraculously observed, endlessly touching." (Daily Telegraph)
"A brilliant evocation of life as a single girl in a certain time...reads like Anita Loos out of Jane Austen, and any woman who has ever had a job, a relationship, or indeed a mother will read it and roar." (The Times)

v good book
Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones's Diary is just a delightful book. It is a fun and light read. I enjoyed listening to it. Tracie Bennett did a remarkable job in giving voice to Bridget. I love her narration.

I will always love this!
I read Bridget Jones's Diary quite a while back and decided to give it a re-read last week, but this time I wanted to give it a listen so I could enjoy my long walks and work commute. I have to say it was a great decision.
Tracie Bennett was a charming and funny narrator for the story and she gave Bridget life in my brain. She seemed very into the story and the role while reading, which made the experience of listening to her very entertaining. Will definitely see if she's the narrator to The Edge of Reason to give it a listen.
